Air Waves, a print-on-demand (POD) supplier for e-commerce and wholesale customers, was acquired by Hybrid Apparel.

Air Waves will continue to serve Hybrid’s retail customers, global licensees, and lifestyle brand partners from its Columbus, Ohio headquarters. Hybrid Clothes is a portfolio business of Altamont Capital Partners and a global supplier of licenced, branded, and private label apparel.

“Air Waves is a best-in-class digital print on demand and e-commerce technology provider and has developed a market-leading set of supply chain solutions and capabilities. Last year, Hybrid began a fulfillment relationship with Air Waves for select customers and we were very impressed with their team and capabilities. We are now beyond excited to bring POD to all our customers,” said Hybrid Apparel’s CEO Bill Hutchison.

Kyle Kantner, who bought Air Waves in 2009, will continue to lead the company as CEO while also sitting on the Hybrid board of directors.

According to the company, the merger of Hybrid and Air Waves would result in “one of the leading omnichannel distributors of licenced, branded, and private label apparel.”
