There is a rise in the engineering sector in Gujarat despite of the negative environment and global factors such as high inflation and the most important negative factor- the Ukraine-Russia war. Till now, the Indian engineering industry has registered exports worth $69 billion between April and December 2022. This is 7% higher than the previous year.

According to Sachin Patel, region member of EEPC, “Demand for chemical plant machinery has remained high in the international and domestic markets. Demand from Russia increased for last year because Russian buyers have stopped purchasing from Europe and all their orders have diverted to India”.
