The textile spinning industry is actively promoting wellness initiatives aimed at enhancing yarn quality. Improving these standards will lead to superior fabric, better grey goods, improved dyeing processes, enhanced weaving techniques, and higher-quality finishes, ultimately resulting in better garments and other fabric end products. The goal is to increase market demand and achieve higher prices. A dedicated group has embarked on a challenging mission to raise awareness and encourage the adoption of simple wellness practices, allowing stakeholders to experience the benefits of a wellness-oriented approach.
Continuing the series, Seminars were conducted on the 24th and 25th of January 2024, at Rajkot and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Around 150 people participated in the same. The participants enthusiastically attended it and presented it equally well. The organisers took care to explain the Wellness in spinning mills concepts in very simple and understanding language and the speakers had well conducted the show using a slide projector to show various examples and points in support of their statements. As requested by the participants, the organizers conducted the seminar in the Hindi language, enabling all participants to participate more enthusiastically. The points were presented by including various case studies from the textile spinning mills and were very subject-oriented. The audience found these to be very interesting. The introduction of Active Life was especially well appreciated being a novel concept to many of them. The last part of the seminar included question-and-answer sessions. The questions were interesting and were very well answered to their satisfaction.
Much myth-breaking information was highlighted which was equally well supported with valid results analysis. There was a necessity to adopt new processes in the day-to-day work cycle on the spinning floor.
The initiative is very interesting and necessary for the industry and market. It is understood that this initiative will be carried on in other parts of the country as well.
