To guarantee that 643 products meet quality standards, the Centre is seeking to include them in orders for required quality control. Additionally, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is working to complete and develop standards for new industries like drones (unmanned aerial vehicles), electric vehicles, and infrastructure for charging them, including battery swapping.
Minister for Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs & Food and Public Distribution Piyush Goyal said in a statement to the media on Wednesday that as part of the government’s focus to create a strong quality ecosystem in the nation, 115 Quality Control Orders (QCOs) covering 493 products have been notified by various Ministries.
