1017 ALYX 9SM and Blackmeans have reunited for a set of heavily distressed denim — a jacket and a pair of jeans. The two labels opted for a rich indigo dye this time, after delivering an expansive denim capsule shaded in black last year.
Both pieces have been horizontally frayed throughout most of the body where thin cream-colored threads accompany frayed bits of denim. Some areas, however, have been left undamaged to emphasize each silhouette’s structure. The jacket comes with clean collars, chest flap pockets, a central opening and hem, complemented by silver-toned buttons — back pockets, waist pockets and fly area of the jeans have been kept clean as well. As finishing touches, both garments are detailed with jagged stripes of black, brown and white for added contrast.
1017 ALYX 9SM and Blackmeans’ denim jacket and pants are currently available on SSENSE’s website for $1,800 USD and $945 USD, respectively.
