NEURA Robotics, Wandercraft Among Winners at Humanoid Robotics Industry Awards 2025

Honoring global pioneers redefining humanoid robotics, AI, and automation.
The Humanoid Robotics Industry Awards 2025, hosted by Humanoid Robotics Technology, has announced this year’s winners, honoring individuals, organizations, and technologies making outstanding contributions to the humanoid robotics sector. The awards spanned five major categories: Industry Leadership, Outstanding Company, Outstanding Research Organization, Groundbreaking Technology, and Best Use of AI — spotlighting those redefining what’s possible at the intersection of robotics, AI, and human collaboration.
Category: Industry Leadership
Winner: Jérôme Monceaux, Co-Founder & CEO, Enchanted Tools
As the visionary CEO of Enchanted Tools, Jérôme Monceaux is guiding the company toward creating humanoid, character-like robots such as Mirokaï — designed to bring together expressive personalities, useful interactions, and emotional appeal. These robots are being developed for diverse sectors including healthcare, retail, and hospitality, performing tasks such as logistics support, navigation, and companionship.
A pioneer in human-robot interaction, Monceaux also founded SPooN.ai and previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer at SoftBank Robotics Europe. His mission is to make technology a source of inspiration and a solution to human challenges.
“I am truly honored to receive this award, which celebrates the collective effort of a passionate team committed to shaping a new vision of humanoid robotics — one that is both useful and deeply emotional.”
— Jérôme Monceaux, Co-Founder & CEO, Enchanted Tools
Category: Outstanding Company
Winner: NEURA Robotics
Founded in 2019 by David Reger in Metzingen, Germany, NEURA Robotics is pioneering the industrialization of cognitive robotics with a clear mission — to close the gap between technology and humanity.
Its flagship humanoid, 4NE1, is described as a “smartphone with arms and legs,” combining precision, safety, and AI integration for industrial and collaborative environments. The company’s ecosystem, the Neuraverse, serves as a digital platform for continuous learning and scalable robot intelligence across industries.
“We’re deeply honored to receive this award! It’s a powerful sign that our belief truly matters: innovation must serve humanity. At NEURA Robotics, we’re showing that Europe can lead the next era of robotics through a purpose-driven vision.”
— David Reger, Founder & CEO, NEURA Robotics
Category: Outstanding Research Organization
Winner: Institute for Human & Machine Cognition (IHMC)
Part of the Florida University System, IHMC earned recognition for its groundbreaking research in humanoid mobility and control systems. Its hydraulic robot Nadia serves as a key platform for advanced locomotion studies.
IHMC’s innovation, Anticipatory and Adaptive Footstep Streaming, allows teleoperated bipedal robots to adapt human steps in real-time, enabling better balance and terrain handling. This technology significantly reduces step delays and improves robot agility across uneven surfaces.
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition for Outstanding Research Organization. IHMC is a special place where researchers collaborate across disciplines to push the limits of humanoid robotics and human-machine teaming. To be recognized globally is a true honor.”
— Dr. Morley Stone, CEO, IHMC
Category: Groundbreaking Technology
Winner: Wandercraft – Calvin-40
Developed in just 40 days, Wandercraft’s Calvin-40 is a human-scale, voice-controlled humanoid built to assist in factory operations and physically demanding environments. Drawing from Wandercraft’s exoskeleton expertise, Calvin-40 is equipped with force sensors, cameras, and safety systems to maintain balance, perceive surroundings, and interact safely with workers.
Its distinctive “headless” design improves visibility of tools and work areas, and its medical-grade software ensures precision and reliability.
“The response to Calvin-40 in just five short months since launch has been overwhelming. Being honored by the humanoid robotics community is a proud milestone. We believe the future of physical AI will be shaped in the real world — and that’s where we are.”
— Matthieu Masselin, Co-Founder & CEO, Wandercraft
Category: Best Use of AI
Winner: Macco Robotics
Macco Robotics’ KIME, the humanoid bartender, showcases AI excellence in real-world interaction. Equipped with computer vision, facial recognition, and a touch interface, KIME ensures precision pouring, customer recognition, and secure cashless transactions — delivering both efficiency and entertainment in hospitality settings.
“The fact that we have been able to beat the major players on the ground may give you an idea of our capacity. We don’t make it fast, we make it good.”
— Víctor Martín, CEO, Macco Robotics
