Monforts VertiDry: Energy-Saving Vertical Dryer for Textiles

Monforts is set to unveil its new VertiDry vertical dryer at the upcoming ITMA Asia + CITME textile machinery exhibition in Singapore this October. Designed for use with coating machines, padders, or Monforts EcoApplicator units, VertiDry targets the special finishing of technical textiles.
This fully contactless, energy-efficient convection dryer can be combined with a stenter either before or after it, depending on the application. It is ideal for pre-drying delicate fabrics and post-coating processes, such as for airbags, denim, and glass-fibre substrates. Additional applications include sportswear, outerwear, carpets, geotextiles, and tarpaulins.
VertiDry is compatible with both new and existing finishing lines, with a single unit capable of handling around eight metres of fabric at a time. Multi-storey configurations are also possible, allowing high adaptability for different finishing line setups.
The dryer supports all types of heating sources, including hybrid options, enabling mills to select the most economical approach. It comes with an integrated exhaust air duct and can connect to heat recovery systems like the Monforts Energy Tower. Various nozzle types are available, and the unit is delivered pre-assembled to ensure minimal installation time.
Nicole Croonenbroek, Monforts Marketing Manager, states: “The new VertiDry was developed in response to market demands for a space- and energy-saving vertical dryer that supports CO2 reduction and integration into special processes, particularly in technical textiles. Its contactless drying ensures customers can produce a wide range of high-quality, value-added fabrics efficiently and cost-effectively.”
