Monforts Installs Third Thermex Line at Turkey’s Altoteks

Altoteks boosts technical textile capabilities with new Thermex dyeing range.
Altoteks has expanded its advanced dyeing operations with a third Monforts Thermex line, enhancing speed, quality, and efficiency for high-performance workwear and technical textiles.
Altoteks, a long-standing specialist in dyeing, finishing, and printing fabrics for workwear and uniform applications, has strengthened its production capabilities with the installation of a third Monforts Thermex continuous dyeing line at its facility in Çorlu, Turkey. The company, a trusted Monforts partner since 1996, already operates two Monfortex ranges, a Montex finishing line, and a wide range of supporting equipment. With an annual dyeing and printing output of 18 million metres, Altoteks continues to expand with advanced technology.

The line benefits from gas-powered infrared predryers, providing high evaporation rates in a minimum of space.
High-performance processing for demanding sectors
The company focuses on the dyeing and finishing of para- and meta-aramid fabrics and their blends, as well as double-dyeing and printing techniques for polycotton, nylon–cotton fabrics, and specialised treatments for ripstop camouflage textiles. Another important segment includes colouration of modacrylic fabrics and flame-retardant cotton and viscose blends — all of which must comply with strict requirements set by defence and civil protection sectors.
“Achieving superior durability, colour fastness, and performance on woven fabrics requires specialised machinery and deep technical knowledge. Monforts Thermex technology forms the foundation of our expertise,” explains company owner Mehmet Ucar. “We rely on these systems for continuous, disperse, and reactive dyeing, particularly for technical textiles and high-volume reactive processes.”

Altoteks owner Mehmet Ucar: “Monforts Thermex technology is one of the cornerstones of our expertise.
According to Monforts Area Sales Manager Thomas Päffgen, “Altoteks continues to elevate its competitiveness in both domestic and global markets with advanced infrastructure, skilled teams, and environmentally responsible practices. Its commitment to quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction positions the company strongly across Europe, Asia, the USA, and Africa.”
Advanced Thermex line with Econtrol® process
The newly installed two-metre-wide Thermex range features three interconnected Thermex units for continuous dyeing and thermosoling, integrated with gas-powered infrared predryers for efficient evaporation, and a cold pad batch (CPB) winding system.
With colour volumes trending smaller and production requiring simpler, streamlined steps, Altoteks will also gain from the Econtrol®* reactive dyeing process co-developed by Monforts and Dystar. This efficient, one-pass pad-dry-wash continuous method includes drying in a hot flue at 120–130°C with controlled humidity of 25–30% to secure fixation within two to three minutes.
“The Econtrol process gives us a major edge, enabling faster, more cost-effective output in high-volume reactive dyeing,” Ucar adds. “This new line will significantly enhance production speed, quality, and operational performance. The installation was completed in just one month with excellent support from Monforts, local agent Neotek, and our technical team.”
