A. Monforts Textilmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG has announced a change in its senior management, effective 1 January 2026. Volker Gingter has been appointed Managing Director, taking over leadership of the Germany-based textile machinery manufacturer specializing in dyeing and finishing technologies.
The leadership transition follows the departure of Gunnar Meyer, who stepped down from the Managing Director role on 31 December 2025. Mr Meyer will continue to support the company in an advisory role until his planned retirement in July 2026, ensuring continuity during the transition period.
Commenting on the change, Nicole Croonenbroek, Marketing Manager at Monforts, acknowledged Mr Meyer’s long-standing contribution, noting his efforts in strengthening the company’s competitive position and maintaining its global market standing.
Mr Gingter brings extensive technical and managerial experience to the role. He began his professional career as an electrician in 1997 at Sucker-Müller-Hacoba in Mönchengladbach before joining Monforts in 2000 as an in-house commissioning engineer. Between 2010 and 2013, he worked on the development of a new European warehouse at Esprit, later returning to Monforts as Engineering Service Manager. He was appointed Head of the Service Department in 2020 and assumed additional responsibility for the Spare Parts Department in 2025.
Mr Gingter is expected to engage directly with Monforts’ global customer and supplier network at Techtextil 2026 in Frankfurt, which will mark one of his first major international industry appearances in his new role.
Addressing the current market environment, Mr Gingter highlighted the challenges posed by global economic volatility and underlined the importance of maintaining close relationships with customers, particularly as they make long-term investment decisions in textile machinery.
