Mikkelsen Innovation Wins PRINTING United Alliance Pinnacle Award for FASTSEWN StitchNCut™ Solution

FASTSEWN StitchNCut™ 3.3M recognised for automating sewing and cutting processes in printed graphics and industrial textile manufacturing.

Mikkelsen Innovation ApS has been honoured with a PRINTING United Alliance Pinnacle Award, recognising its FASTSEWN™ StitchNCut™ 3.3M solution for innovation and technological advancement in print production.

The Pinnacle Awards recognise products and technologies that enhance production efficiency, improve quality and deliver value to print service providers worldwide.

FASTSEWN™ StitchNCut™ 3.3M automates the final manual stage in the production of printed graphic products that require both sewing and contour cutting. The solution is also designed for manufacturing a wide range of two-dimensional, multi-layer industrial textile products.

Integrated Sewing and Cutting Technology

The system combines sewing and cutting into a single automated process using patented Moving Cavity Technology (MCT™). According to the company, integrating these operations helps reduce manual handling, improve workflow efficiency and minimise dependence on skilled sewing operators.

The automation also reduces labour requirements between separate cutting and sewing departments while supporting consistent production quality.

Steen B. Mikkelsen, Founder of Mikkelsen Innovation ApS, said:

“We are honored to receive this recognition from PRINTING United Alliance. Innovation has always been at the heart of my involvement in improving efficiency in print finishing. This award reflects the dedication of our entire team to developing solutions that solve current real-world challenges for the printing industry.”

Supporting Productivity in Print and Textile Manufacturing

Mikkelsen Innovation stated that the award highlights its focus on developing practical, high-performance solutions that help print providers increase productivity, improve quality and remain competitive.

By combining established flatbed cutter capabilities with updated engineering concepts, the company aims to simplify production processes across the printing and industrial textile sectors.

Rasmus Heideger, Chief Engineer and Co-founder of Mikkelsen Innovation, said:

“This Pinnacle Award recognition validates our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible. We thank our customers and industry partners whose feedback and collaboration continue to inspire our product development.”
