Joint Venture Targets Growing Automotive Logistics Requirements

Hellmann and Motherson announced the establishment of MHSCL in March 2026 to address increasing complexity in global automotive supply chains.

As vehicle manufacturing becomes more international and interconnected, manufacturers and suppliers face growing demand for integrated, flexible and digitally enabled logistics solutions.

According to the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA), global vehicle production reached 96.4 million units in 2025, an increase of 3.9% compared with the previous year.

MHSCL combines Hellmann's global logistics network and third-party logistics (3PL) and fourth-party logistics (4PL) capabilities with Motherson's global expertise in Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Assembly and Logistics (D.E.M.A.L.).

The joint venture aims to use these capabilities to develop scalable, end-to-end supply chain solutions across regions.

CEO Outlines Operational Priorities

Commenting on the appointments, Gordon Barnard, Chief Executive Officer of MH Supply Chain Limited, said:

“With this leadership team in place, MHSCL is ready to move from set-up into execution. Our focus will be on building a high-performance logistics platform that delivers greater transparency, agility and control for automotive supply chains worldwide,”
