MENANG Resumes Nonwoven Production in Four Months After Fire with New ANDRITZ Airlay Line

Malaysian automotive nonwoven manufacturer completes installation and commissioning of replacement airlay line by mid-July
MENANG launches recovery programme following March fire
Following the fire, MENANG initiated a recovery programme and placed an order for a new airlay line from ANDRITZ at the end of March.
The two companies worked together to accelerate the replacement project. ANDRITZ completed the installation and commissioning by mid-July, following a compressed project schedule.
Site reconstruction and equipment installation were conducted in parallel, allowing MENANG to shorten the recovery period and reduce the impact of the incident on its operations.
MENANG highlights collaboration with ANDRITZ
William Wong, Group Director of MENANG, states:
“Following the fire, our focus was on rebuilding quickly and ensuring continuity for our customers and partners. The strong collaboration between the MENANG and ANDRITZ teams played a key role in making this possible. We sincerely appreciate the commitment and responsiveness shown throughout the project and are pleased to be back in operation with our new airlay line.”
New airlay line supports automotive nonwoven production
The newly installed ANDRITZ airlay line provides MENANG with updated nonwoven web-forming technology. The equipment is intended to support the company's future growth and operational objectives in the automotive industry.
The replacement line enables MENANG to resume production following the fire and continue its manufacturing operations for nonwoven automotive components.
