Mahlo Unveils Smart, Sustainable Tech at ITMA Asia 2025

From October 28 to 31, 2025, the global textile industry will gather in Singapore for ITMA Asia 2025, and Mahlo will participate as part of the German Pavilion Finishing. The company will present its latest process optimization solutions under the theme “More efficient. More precise. More sustainable.” at booth H7-A103, highlighting innovations that enhance resource efficiency and product quality.
A key highlight is the new Orthopac RVMC-20 plus straightening system, which introduces a unique combination of feed-forward and closed-loop control to set new standards in fabric straightening technology.
“The synergy created by predictive and reactive control is a first in the market,” said Thomas Höpfl, Head of Sales at Mahlo. “The system detects distortions even before they reach the correction rollers and corrects them in real time, without ever overshooting.”
This innovation delivers precise distortion correction, ensuring high-quality output while reducing resource waste – a crucial advantage for the Asian market.
The feed-forward control analyzes fabric at the inlet, proactively adjusting roller positions, while the AI-supported closed-loop control at the outlet ensures fine-tuned corrections, even with short fabric runs and frequent distortions. The solution has been particularly well-received by knitted fabric manufacturers, who face rapidly changing distortions during production.
Another significant benefit is that the system is retrofit-compatible with Orthopac RVMC-15 series machines, making it an attractive option for manufacturers seeking quality upgrades without major capital investments.
Alongside the Orthopac RVMC-20 plus, Mahlo will also present two other important technologies:
- Famacont PMC-15: Measures and controls weft or stitch density to help manufacturers meet residual shrinkage targets, an essential requirement for international buyers.
- Patcontrol PCS-20: Detects and controls pattern distortions and repeats, ensuring high quality for lace, footwear textiles, terry cloth, carpets, and other patterned fabrics.
Visitors can also bring their own fabric samples to the booth and have them tested on-site.
“Our solutions are practical and consistently focused on sustainability – for us, that’s not just a buzzword, it’s a lived reality,” added Höpfl.
