Magari Furniture Introduces NOMA Collection Inspired by Landscapes and Natural Textures

The new furniture collection features sculptural forms, handcrafted leather detailing and European ash wood, bringing a distinctive design approach to contemporary homes this festive season.
Magari Furniture has introduced its NOMA collection, drawing inspiration from landscapes shaped by the interaction of nature and human intervention. Featuring sculptural silhouettes, tactile materials and detailed craftsmanship, the collection brings together contemporary design and the character of altered terrain for homes this festive season.
NOMA Collection Explores Material, Form and Craftsmanship
The NOMA collection takes inspiration from sculpted landforms and geometric salt pans, translating their contours and intricate compositions into contemporary furniture. Through distinctive shapes, textured surfaces and carefully considered details, the collection explores how landscapes can influence the design of everyday living spaces.
A central element of NOMA is the role of small details in defining a piece of furniture. Leather is treated through techniques such as hand-smoking, ruffled edging and patchwork, while interwoven straps, looped details and raw ventral surfaces introduce contrasting textures. These features are balanced by sculpted wooden frames and subtle brass accents, combining soft materials with structured forms.
The collection highlights the character of natural materials and handcrafted design, with pieces intended for everyday use and gatherings beyond the festive season.
NOMA includes sofas, lounge chairs, armchairs and dining chairs. Among its key designs are the Zuka and Kyo armchairs, which showcase the collection’s approach to contemporary forms, material combinations and craftsmanship.
Zuka Armchair Combines Ash Wood and Textured Upholstery
The Zuka armchair is crafted from European kiln-dried ash wood. Its solid wooden frame curves continuously around the upholstered seat and curved backrest, creating a flowing silhouette while providing support.

The upholstery combines textured fabric and leather with a soft, velvet-like appearance. The combination introduces varied surface textures inspired by natural landscapes.
Kyo Armchair Features a Sculpted Frame and Relaxed Leather Seating
The Kyo armchair offers a contemporary interpretation of the classic easy chair. It features a relaxed leather seat and a smooth, sculpted organic frame made from European kiln-dried ash wood.

Its single-layer leather seat incorporates ruffled detailing, allowing the material to drape naturally and create a hammock-like seating experience that adapts to the user’s form. A suspended leather neck pillow, secured with straps and supported by a metal rod, provides adjustable comfort while adding a distinctive element to the chair’s silhouette.
Design Philosophy Behind the NOMA Collection
“With NOMA, we wanted to explore how the beauty of landscapes shaped by human intervention could find expression in furniture through form, material and craftsmanship. Every detail, from the treatment of leather to the sculpting of wood, contributes to the character of each piece. As homes take on a special significance during the festive season, becoming places where families come together and memories are made, we see furniture as an important part of that experience. NOMA brings together character, comfort and individuality in designs that can make these moments more meaningful and remain relevant in the home for years to come,” said Amitha Madan, Co-Founder & Director – Design, Magari Furniture.
With sculptural forms, varied textures and distinctive craftsmanship, the NOMA collection presents Magari Furniture’s contemporary design approach through furniture intended to bring individuality and comfort to residential spaces.
