Lenzing Showcases Bio-Based Nonwoven Solutions at Global Industry Fairs in 2026

Company highlights LENZING™ Nonwoven Technology across China, Germany and Switzerland, while LENZING™ DualWipe receives INDEX™ 26 Award

The Lenzing Group, a leading global producer of regenerated cellulose fibers for the nonwovens and textiles industries, strengthened the positioning of its nonwovens business through participation in three major international trade fairs held during the first half of 2026. At CIDPEX in China, Techtextil in Frankfurt and INDEX in Geneva, the company presented its bio-based nonwoven solutions and highlighted the capabilities of LENZING™ Nonwoven Technology (LNT).

The exhibitions were used to demonstrate how Lenzing’s nonwovens fiber portfolio and LENZING™ Nonwoven Technology enable scalable, bio-based alternatives to fossil-based nonwoven materials.

Presence across international nonwovens markets

The company's exhibition schedule began with CIDPEX 2026 in Nanjing, China, the world's largest exhibition dedicated to tissue and disposable hygiene products. The event served as a platform to strengthen Lenzing's regional presence in Asia while increasing the global visibility of VEOCEL™ branded fibers, particularly for absorbent hygiene and wipes applications.

Lenzing continued its participation at Techtextil 2026 in Frankfurt and INDEX 2026 in Geneva, where it engaged with European and international customers. At both exhibitions, LENZING™ Nonwoven Technology was presented through interactive touch-and-feel stations, allowing visitors to experience the performance, versatility and material characteristics of the company's cellulosic nonwoven solutions in application-oriented demonstrations.

During INDEX 2026 in Geneva, LENZING™ DualWipe received the INDEX™ Award in the Nonwovens Roll Goods category.

Enabled by LENZING™ Nonwoven Technology, the wipe combines two functional surfaces within a single product, featuring an abrasive side for removing dirt and residues and a soft, highly absorbent side for wiping and finishing. According to the company, DualWipe contains no synthetic fibers, binders or finishing chemicals, eliminating the risk of microplastic shedding associated with conventional synthetic wipes.

Lenzing stated that its nonwovens solutions are aligned with the EU Bioeconomy Strategy, which promotes the use of bio-based materials to reduce dependence on fossil resources and strengthen sustainable industrial value chains. The company said it has translated these objectives into industrial-scale solutions currently available for hygiene, wipes and technical nonwovens applications.

Focus on fiber innovation and application development

Across all three exhibitions, Lenzing demonstrated its fiber portfolio and technologies for a range of end-use applications, with emphasis on absorbent hygiene products and advanced nonwoven solutions. The company also highlighted its approach of combining fiber innovation, application expertise and collaboration across the value chain for the global nonwovens industry.
