Lenzing and Kaihara Launch ‘REMOD Collection’ Denim Range at Kingpins Amsterdam 2026

The collection showcases three TENCEL™ Lyocell fiber types, while the TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 mill partner network expands to nearly 50 mills across 13 countries, including India for the first time.
Lenzing Group has partnered with Japanese denim manufacturer Kaihara Corporation to launch the ‘REMOD Collection’, a denim range exploring different fiber blends, textures and fabric characteristics. The collection will be showcased at Kingpins Amsterdam on October 14–15, 2026, alongside the announcement of the third cohort of TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 mill partners, marking one year since the fiber’s launch.
REMOD Collection Explores Denim Textures and Fiber Blends
Woven at Kaihara Corporation’s vertically integrated mill in Hiroshima, Japan, the collection features three Lenzing fiber offerings: TENCEL™ Lyocell Standard, TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 and TENCEL™ Lyocell dtex 2.2.
The range includes heavyweight men’s jackets, mid-weight wide-leg and stretch jeans, and cotton-free casual shirting. It explores constructions with and without cotton, combining the traditional appearance and craftsmanship of Japanese denim with different fabric textures, softness and comfort.

Dennis Hui, Global Business Development Manager, Denim at Lenzing, said:
“We are delighted to work with Kaihara Corporation again,” said Dennis Hui, Global Business Development Manager, Denim at Lenzing. “TENCEL™ fibers have been part of Kaihara’s collections since the 1990s and every chapter has asked something different about the material. What makes this latest ‘REMOD Collection’ especially exciting is how each fiber is celebrated in various applications as a discovery of what is possible with each TENCEL™ fiber type. From our cotton-inspired TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 showcased across a variety of pieces within the collection, alongside TENCEL™ Lyocell Standard used in others. Meanwhile, our linen-inspired TENCEL™ Lyocell dtex 2.2 features in its own distinct articles. Each brings authentic denim character with elevated comfort and hand feel. We can’t wait to see mills, brands and designers gain fresh inspiration to play with the many application possibilities within the TENCEL™ Lyocell fiber portfolio.”
Three Fiber Types Offer Distinct Fabric Characteristics
The collection demonstrates how the three TENCEL™ Lyocell fiber types can create different textures and fabric properties.
- TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100: Designed to deliver a cotton-inspired aesthetic, it uses Variocut technology to create deliberate variations in fiber length. This produces subtle irregularities and a matte, more opaque appearance commonly associated with cotton.
- TENCEL™ Lyocell dtex 2.2: With a fiber length of 51 mm, this fiber is coarser than standard TENCEL™ Lyocell. It gives fabrics a drier, stiffer touch and a natural slub pattern reminiscent of linen, adding structure and body without additional weight.
- TENCEL™ Lyocell Standard: Provides softness, fluid drape and colour depth.
The different fibers are used across the collection to explore a range of visual effects, fabric structures and everyday comfort characteristics.
Akihiro Maehara, Director, Market Planning Division at Kaihara Corporation, said:
“Texture is one of the most defining elements of premium denim, shaping both its character and visual appeal,” said Akihiro Maehara, Director, Market Planning Division at Kaihara Corporation. “For this collection, we harnessed the unique attributes of each TENCEL™ Lyocell fiber type to add value to the denim in distinct ways, creating fabrics that balance authentic denim aesthetics with softness, drape and comfort. We are proud to bring our longstanding manufacturing expertise together with the new material possibilities offered by Lenzing to explore new expressions of texture and visual depth.”
TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 Network Expands to 13 Countries
Lenzing’s TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 mill partner network has grown to nearly 50 mills across 13 countries, with Indian mills joining for the first time.
The fiber was first launched at Kingpins Amsterdam in October 2025 with 17 mills across five countries. By April 2026, the network had expanded to 37 mills in nine countries. The latest cohort marks the third phase of the network’s expansion.
The addition of Indian mills brings manufacturing expertise from a region with an established denim industry and broadens the network’s geographic reach.
Existing Manufacturing Processes Support Adoption
According to Lenzing, TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 can be processed using existing machinery, process steps and chemicals, allowing participating mills to expand their fiber options without additional capital expenditure.
Tuncay Kılıçkan, Head of Global Business Development, Denim at Lenzing, said:
“Brands want more choices in how they create denim, but they also want confidence in the materials and partners they work with,” said Tuncay Kılıçkan, Head of Global Business Development, Denim at Lenzing. “Planning a denim programme means committing months ahead, so a material that behaves predictably – in supply, in processing, in how it wears – is worth a great deal. TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 gives brands that, while preserving the authenticity, timelessness and comfort that make denim a wardrobe staple. A year on, close to 50 mills have already brought the fiber into their products, which means a brand can explore a broader material palette for future collections and know where to source it.”
Lenzing said the growing mill network is intended to expand sourcing options for brands and support further applications of TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 in denim.
