Abhishek Lath, Managing Director & CFO of Le Merite Exports Limited, welcomed dignitaries, NSE officials, investors, ladies, and gentlemen to this special day. He expressed absolute honour and pleasure, thanking NSE for its enormous support from Emerge to the Main Board. NSE pioneered the Emerge platform, providing SMEs a launchpad to grow into large corporates.
Lath felt overwhelmed that Le Merite now trades on the same platform as his idols—Shri Dhirubhai Ambani (Reliance group), Shri Ratan Tata (TCS), Shri Narayan Murthy (Infosys), and many iconic leaders.
Le Merite's journey started 22 years ago in 2003, achieving milestones one after another. The company exported merchandise, earning valuable foreign currency worth more than USD 500 million. The company’s products have been shipped to over 45 countries spread across 5 continents, catering to more than 500 buyers, among them leading names such as H&M, C&A, LC Waikiki, and others.
Today transcends past celebrations. Lath outlined a broadened vision, team expansion, and entry into unexplored territories. Le Merite diversified into defence clothing and field gear manufacturing and supplies, beginning with a 10-year licensee from DRDO for technical textile bed sheets. The company will manufacture and supply this to the Paramilitary, armed forces, Indian Railways, and Hospitals.

This strategic shift is in harmony with Honourable PM Shri Narendra Modi ji’s ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ vision, as Le Merite pledges to contribute to national self‑reliance by building advanced materials, technologies, and in‑house capabilities, supported by focused investment in cutting‑edge technology and research and development.
The company builds capabilities in critical defence and technical textiles, including:
- High-Performance ECW Coats/Jackets
- Anti-Bed Bug Bed & Anti-Microbial bed sheet
- Nylon Coated technical fabrics
- Woven & non-Woven Laminated high-performance fabrics
- Aramid & blended FR fabrics for protective wear
- Field gear and functional clothing for defence and paramilitary forces
- Digital Printed fabrics for the armed forces
These meet Army, Navy, and paramilitary needs, offering superior performance, protection, and comfort in challenging environments.
Lath announced Le Merite as the first in India to develop and introduce a new digital uniform fabric for the Border Security Force, replacing the old camouflage after many years. The company supplied more than 800,000 mtrs worth INR 22.0 Crs already.
Globally, technical textiles expand rapidly, projected to reach USD 250 billion by 2025. India's domestic market stands at USD 25 billion, with exports at USD 3.0 billion.
Aligning with Honourable CM Shri Devendra Fadnavis ji’s Viksit Maharashtra vision, Le Merite executes a greenfield technical textile project in Amravati district, Maharashtra. Selected under PLI 2.0, it promises a strong defence foothold, targeting up to 40% revenues from this vertical in the next 3 years.
Lath extended heartfelt gratitude to shareholders, Team Le Merite for hard work, creativity, and commitment, his parents for knowledge, guidance, and values, and his wife for constant support. He ended with Shri Lord Krishna’s Mahabharata words: “Yato Dharmas Tato Jayah” (यतो धर्मस्ततो जयः)—Jahan Dharma hai, vahin Vijay hai.
