KVIC Chairman Inaugurated Khadi India Pavilion at Bharat Tex 2026 in New Delhi

Khadi India Pavilion showcases products, innovations and artisan collections from across the country at Bharat Tex 2026.

Manoj Goel, Chairman of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), inaugurated the Khadi India Pavilion at Hall No. 10 of Bharat Tex 2026. During the visit, he interacted with exhibitors, artisans and representatives of Khadi institutions participating in the event.

Manoj Goel, Chairman of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), inaugurated the Khadi India Pavilion at Hall No. 10 of Bharat Tex 2026 and visited the pavilion to interact with exhibitors, artisans and representatives of Khadi institutions.

Held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, Bharat Tex 2026 brings together participants from across the textile and apparel value chain. The Khadi India Pavilion, established by KVIC, features a wide range of Khadi and Village Industries products, design innovations and exclusive collections presented by Khadi institutions from different parts of the country.

Goel inaugurated the pavilion on Tuesday and interacted with representatives of Khadi institutions from different states to understand their experiences and innovations. Senior officials and employees of the Centre of Excellence for Khadi (CoEK) were also present during the occasion.

The pavilion includes Khadi home linen and home décor products, contemporary apparel, innovation-driven Khadi products and traditional tools used in Khadi production.

He remarked that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Khadi—described as the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi—has transformed from its traditional identity into a symbol of India's rich heritage, self-reliance, sustainability and the empowerment of millions of rural artisans.

The Chairman also visited the Mula Jamdani collection displayed by the Ghoranashi Silk Khadi Gramodyog Samiti of West Bengal.

While interacting with representatives of the institution, he appreciated their efforts to combine the traditional Jamdani weaving technique with contemporary design. He said such innovations could play a significant role in strengthening the identity of Indian Khadi and handicrafts in global markets.
