Kornit Digital unveils commercial launch of Atlas MATRIX
Kornit Digital (NASDAQ: KRNT) has officially introduced the Atlas MATRIX platform to the market after completing a global beta program involving leading production environments in Europe and North America.
The system extends the capabilities of the company’s Atlas MAX PLUS platform by supporting polyester, blends, and sublimated fabrics. Atlas MATRIX enables producers to work with different fabric types through one integrated workflow while maintaining durability, print quality, and operational efficiency.
Recently introduced during Konnections 2026, the platform incorporates Kornit’s proprietary Karbon Shield process, designed to support direct decoration on polyester and sublimated garments while addressing dye migration issues commonly associated with digital textile production.
The platform allows users to transition between cotton, polyester, and blended fabrics within the same workflow, reducing operational complexity and expanding application possibilities for apparel manufacturers.
Validated through global production programs
Kornit stated that Atlas MATRIX has undergone extensive validation through production programs with multiple customers across Europe and North America.
According to the company, early adopters reported improvements in print quality, hand feel, workflow simplification, and access to new production categories that were previously difficult to address using existing digital systems.
“The apparel industry is rapidly shifting toward agile, on-demand production models that require far greater flexibility, efficiency and responsiveness,” said Ronen Samuel, Chief Executive Officer of Kornit Digital. “Atlas MATRIX represents a major step forward for the industry, enabling our customers to expand into new applications, simplify production and accelerate the transition to digital manufacturing at scale. The early feedback and production results we are seeing from customers are extremely encouraging. We have already generated a strong backlog of upgrade demand from our existing install base, alongside new system demand from both existing and new customers, further validating the market opportunity and excitement around the platform.”
The global beta program included production providers involved in print-on-demand, customized apparel, and large-scale fulfillment operations.
“We are already shifting meaningful polyester production volumes to Atlas MATRIX,” said Frederik Huhn, Director Global Fulfillment at Spread Group. "We are particularly impressed with the possibility of direct printing on dye sublimated shirts, allowing us to decorate these highly visible and important but tricky items in a single step with the highest quality. The Atlas MATRIX will allow us to capture opportunities that were not accessible before."
Rodney McDonald, President of US Colorworks, added: “Atlas MATRIX significantly expands what we can offer customers while simplifying production. The quality, feel and versatility we are seeing are extremely impressive.”
Focus on scalable and on-demand production
Kornit stated that Atlas MATRIX supports localized and inventory-efficient manufacturing models by enabling on-demand production across a broader range of apparel applications.
The company will conduct live demonstrations of Atlas MATRIX during FESPA 2026 at booth 3A95 in Barcelona.
