Killer Jeans Unveils ‘Genes of India’ Campaign for AW26 Celebrating India’s Diversity Through Denim

Featuring brand ambassador Meezaan Jafri, the campaign brings together regional identities, personal styles and diverse expressions of contemporary India
Killer Jeans, a youth-focused denim and fashion brand from Kewal Kiran Clothing Limited (KKCL), has launched its Autumn/Winter 2026 campaign, ‘Genes of India’, featuring actor and brand ambassador Meezaan Jafri.
The campaign explores India’s diversity through denim, bringing together people from different cultural and regional backgrounds and highlighting the varied ways contemporary India expresses identity and fashion.
Denim as an expression of individuality

The central idea behind Genes of India is that India cannot be defined by a single identity. The campaign uses jeans as a common wardrobe staple that has crossed geographical, generational and cultural boundaries and become part of everyday fashion for young Indians.
The campaign creates a connection between the words ‘Genes’ and ‘Jeans’, drawing a parallel between the individuality shaped by genes and the personal identity expressed through the way people select, style and wear their jeans.
Models representing different parts of the country feature in the campaign, bringing together influences from the North, South, East and West. Their varied appearances and styling reflect the different approaches to fashion found across India.
Campaign highlights changing denim trends
Genes of India also focuses on the changing role of denim within Indian fashion. Jeans are no longer associated with a specific age group, city or subculture, and are worn across a wide range of consumer groups, including college students, young professionals, creators, travellers and consumers across India.
The campaign highlights the different ways people dress and interpret fashion while presenting denim as a common element that can be adapted to individual preferences.
Statement from Kewal Kiran Clothing
Commenting on the campaign, Hemant Jain, Joint Managing Director, Kewal Kiran Clothing Limited, said, “India has never been about one look or one identity. What makes us Indian is the incredible diversity of people, cultures, languages and lifestyles that coexist and evolve together. With Genes of India, we wanted to celebrate that diversity through something as universal as denim. The idea of ‘Genes’ and ‘Jeans’ gives us a distinctive way to talk about individuality while staying rooted in the spirit of contemporary India. Killer has always been about self-expression, and this campaign takes that thought to a much larger, national canvas.”
Denim becomes a canvas for personal style
Through Genes of India, Killer Jeans presents denim as more than a clothing category, focusing on its role as a versatile garment through which wearers can express their culture, personality and individual style.
The AW26 campaign brings together these different expressions to reflect the diversity of contemporary Indian fashion.
