‘Future Vintage’ concept integrates AI, laser, and ozone technologies in denim design

Jeanologia is presenting its AI-based design tool “Billy” at Kingpins Amsterdam, highlighting developments in digital denim creation. The showcase focuses on connecting design inspiration with production processes through AI and laser technologies.

The company is also introducing its ‘Future Vintage’ concept, which combines vintage aesthetics with digital workflows.

The tool enables designers to work directly from reference images, reducing the need for manual adjustments traditionally required in denim finishing processes. The resulting designs are executed using Jeanologia’s laser technology, ensuring consistency in production output without additional retouching.

Fernando Cardona, head of Brainbox at Jeanologia, said: “With Billy, we move from interpreting vintage denim to designing it directly for production, connecting inspiration and execution in a single process.”

During the event, live demonstrations are being conducted to show how images are transformed into laser designs, illustrating the integration of creative input and production workflow.

The ‘Future Vintage’ collection presented at the show reflects this approach by combining vintage-inspired design elements with digital production methods. The collection integrates “Billy” with laser technology, the ATMOS process, and G2 ozone technology to produce garments while reducing manual processing steps and minimizing environmental impact.

The concept is based on analyzing vintage denim characteristics, including wear patterns and fading, and translating them into reproducible design outputs. This allows for the consistent replication of details that were previously associated with natural aging processes.

Jeanologia is also presenting the collection ‘From Essentials to Specials’, developed in collaboration with Sartex. This collection focuses on finishing techniques using digital printing and laser technology, moving from basic designs to more complex treatments where fabric finishing plays a central role.

As part of the event programme, Enrique Silla, CEO of Jeanologia, is participating in the panel “Denim Talk – Artificial Intelligence: From Cotton to Culture.” The discussion will address the role of AI across the denim value chain, including its impact on design, production, and sustainability.

Jeanologia is exhibiting at the White Area, Booth 27, Sugarcity, Amsterdam, during Kingpins Amsterdam, held from April 15–16, 2026. Press contact at the event is Carmen Silla, Marketing Director at Jeanologia.
