IVO Textiles Invests in Kornit Presto MAX S to Expand Digital Textile Printing Capabilities

Family-owned UK textile manufacturer adopts Kornit's roll-to-roll digital printing system to combine traditional screen-print quality with faster production and wider fabric compatibility.

Kornit Digital (NASDAQ: KRNT), a global provider of sustainable, on-demand digital fashion and textile production technologies, announced that IVO Textiles, a family-owned textile manufacturer specialising in premium printed fabrics, has invested in the Kornit Presto MAX S roll-to-roll digital textile printing system.

The investment enables the company to reproduce the quality of traditional screen printing while increasing production speed, expanding fabric compatibility and offering a broader colour gamut for premium interior textile applications.

Kornit Digital (NASDAQ: KRNT), a global leader in sustainable, on-demand digital fashion and textile production technologies, announced that IVO Textiles, a family-owned textile manufacturer specialising in premium printed fabrics, has invested in the Kornit Presto MAX S roll-to-roll digital textile printing system.

According to Kornit Digital, the new system enables IVO Textiles to reproduce the quality of traditional screen printing while improving production speed, increasing the range of printable fabrics and providing a broader colour gamut for premium interior textile customers.

Company Background

Founded in the early 1960s, IVO Textiles established its presence during London's fashion era by producing fabrics for designers including Celia Birtwell, Ossie Clark and Zandra Rhodes, as well as fashion retailer Biba. The company later expanded its operations into premium furnishing fabrics, wallpapers and interior décor while continuing its focus on textile craftsmanship.

Technology Evaluation Process

Before replacing its previous digital textile printer, IVO Textiles carried out an evaluation of several digital textile printing technologies. The company tested identical fabrics and production files across multiple platforms to identify a system capable of closely reproducing the appearance and quality of traditional screen printing.

According to Kornit Digital, the Kornit Presto MAX S provided the closest match while also demonstrating colour accuracy, durability and fastness performance during testing. Demonstrations at the company's Customer Experience Center in Düsseldorf further supported the evaluation before the investment decision.

Michael Haas, CEO, IVO Textiles said:

"IVO Textiles has always built its reputation on craftsmanship, quality and innovation. When we evaluated the market, we weren't simply looking for another digital printer. We were looking for a platform capable of matching the quality of traditional screen printing while giving us the flexibility to meet today's customer expectations. Kornit delivered exactly that and gives us the confidence to continue growing our business."

Production Improvements

The company stated that the Kornit Presto MAX S has improved productivity and production efficiency.

IVO Textiles identified the platform's expanded colour gamut, broader fabric compatibility and intelligent self-centering technology among its operational features. The addition of white ink and XDi capabilities also provides further options for premium interior textile applications.

According to the company, a typical 200-metre order that previously required approximately a day and a half to print, followed by baking in a separate finishing department, can now be completed in under two hours, including both printing and curing. The reduction in production time enables increased manufacturing capacity and faster response to customer requirements.

Michael Haas added:

"The colour gamut and the range of fabrics we can now print on are tremendous advantages for our business. But the biggest benefit is the speed. We're now able to respond to our customers much faster while maintaining the quality they've always expected from IVO Textiles."

Partnership and Future Plans

IVO Textiles also stated that Kornit's engineering and service teams supported the installation and commissioning of the system.

Guy Yaniv, President, Kornit Digital Europe, said:

"IVO Textiles demonstrates that heritage manufacturers don't have to choose between craftsmanship and digital innovation. By combining traditional screen-printing expertise with Kornit's digital technology, IVO Textiles has preserved the quality that built its reputation while achieving the speed, flexibility and efficiency required to compete in today's premium textile market."

With the Kornit Presto MAX S in production, IVO Textiles stated that it plans to continue supporting customers in the premium interior textiles market while expanding into additional applications.
