ITMF & IAF Conclude Joint Convention 2025 in Indonesia
The International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) and the International Apparel Federation (IAF) have successfully wrapped up their second joint convention, held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in collaboration with the Indonesian Textile Association (API). The 2025 event brought together over 400 global delegates representing the entire textile and apparel value chain, reinforcing global cooperation and dialogue within the industry.
The conference program received an overwhelmingly positive response, offering high-level discussions on key issues shaping the sector’s future — such as technology adoption, fibre innovation, AI applications, decarbonisation, audit fatigue reduction, evolving legislation, and the transformation of Indonesia’s textile and apparel industry. The event also celebrated innovation, sustainability, and collaboration through inspiring presentations by the winners of the ITMF Awards.
Beyond the conference sessions, ITMF and IAF upheld their tradition of creating memorable and culturally rich experiences for participants. Delegates were welcomed by the Sultan of Yogyakarta at an elegant opening dinner, while the Gala Dinner in front of the historic Prambanan Temple offered a stunning backdrop for networking and celebration. This evening also marked the official start of the tenures of ITMF President Juan Parés and IAF President Stefano Festa Marzotto.
The convention agenda further included company visits, allowing delegates to experience Indonesia’s thriving textile and apparel ecosystem firsthand. Visits were made to PT Dan Liris, PT Pan Brothers, PT Ambassador Garmindo, Gallery Batik Jawa, PT Golden Tekstil Indonesia (GTI), and PT Ungaran Sari Garment, where participants witnessed examples of manufacturing excellence, innovation capacity, and sustainability practices.
The success of the 2025 Joint Convention was made possible through the strong partnership and support of API, along with PT Dan Liris and PT Pan Brothers, both ITMF and IAF member companies. Together, they highlighted Indonesia’s vibrant and forward-looking textile and apparel industry, positioning the country as a premier hub for global textile and garment production.
