ITMA Singapore 2025: ChiuVention Leads the New Era of Textile Testing
The exhibition overview of ITMA Singapore 2025
China International Textile Machinery Exhibition and ITMA Asia Exhibition (Singapore Textile Machinery Show) was held in Singapore from October 28 to 31, 2025. The exhibition attracted 30 different countries and areas more than 840 enterprise to the show, with a total exhibition area reaches 70,000 square meters.
At this exhibition, the testing instrument’s status has improved in the global supply chain and quality control. The testing is to be separated as a solo block in the exhibition product category, which shows that the testing instrument becomes an important key link in the industry chain.
The trend of textiles testing instrument’ intelligence and standardization
Automated and AI testing system
With the increasing pace of textile production and quality control requirements being promoted, the testing instrument is moving to a highly automated and intelligent system. Such as ChiuVention, almost every instrument can identify the sample and perform the automotive testing procedure. And partly, the instrument has started to use the AI model in testing. The cloud-based management of test data enables real-time transmission to both PC and mobile terminals, which enhances the operational efficiency of textile quality management systems.
International standard and mutually recognized
In the global textile supply chain system, the test data consistency and traceability are the key points for brand and supplier corporations. Whether the clothing brand, fabric manufacturer, or third-party testing agency, they must ensure the testing results meet the global standard system and can be recognized in most countries and areas. For example, ChiuVention’s instrument can set multiple standard methods on the screen, which users can switch the standards within a short time and with fewer operations.
AATCC joined the exhibition, with its President and Technical Director chatting with ChiuVention President Forrest and Vice President Alvin. They met at the booth across from ChiuVention. AATCC invited ChiuVention to become a Gold Member. The two groups work together more effectively to create testing standards and instruments.
Many international brands visited the booth during the exhibition. The team honored ChiuVention for its achievements in research and development, as well as its global marketing activities. We observed a global brand landscape characterized by “healthy competition and mutual respect.”
Intelligent testing empowers the textile industry’s digital and intelligent upgrade

The SmartShrink intelligent shrinkage tester serves as an example of this technology. The system operates through patented visual inspection algorithms which allow the measurement of different data points. The evaluation includes measurements of fabric shrinkage and distortion that occur during washing and steam pressing, and dry cleaning processes. It does all this in just 5 seconds and creates reports. The system performs complete automated visual and intelligent testing through data transmission to ERP or LIMS systems.

Reliable:
The HydroDetector Smart Hydrostatic Pressure Tester serves as a reliable example. The test evaluates how well textiles and leather, and films resist water penetration. The system operates automatically through its detection system which identifies water droplets and test completion points without requiring human assistance. The testing process gets recorded through video for both playback and human verification. The system includes an adaptive clamping mechanism together with a servo-controlled pressure system that provides stable and exact testing operations.

User-friendly:
The Smartindale Intelligent Martindale Abrasion and Pilling Tester lets you easily switch between abrasion and pilling tests. You can do this with just one touch on the control panel; no need to change pins. The flip-top design enables users to easily view and operate the device through its opening mechanism. The guide plate operates with one-hand operation and features an automatic soft-close mechanism. At this exhibition, we also observed a certain British brand “borrowing” Smartindale’s product design philosophy. This innovation was pioneered by ChiuVention and invented by its founder and president, Forrest Chiu. It was unveiled at ITMA 2023 and received enthusiastic market response.

This UV Protection Tester features 360° testing and an innovative planetary orbit operation mode for more stable and reliable results. The device performs automatic UPF value and UVA/UVB ratio calculations through one-touch scanning while supporting various international standards.
The CoolMax Intelligent Cooling Sensation Tester provides immediate Q-Max value measurement and maintains sample temperatures at optimal levels for precise testing results.
