ITMA Asia + CITME Singapore 2025: A Showcase of Textile Innovation

The highly anticipated ITMA Asia CITME exhibition is set to open from October 28 to 31, 2025, at the Singapore Expo, gathering over 800 exhibitors from 30 countries in a comprehensive display of cutting-edge textile and garment technologies. The event has already garnered support from more than 80 industry organisations, including associations from Pakistan, Indonesia, Iran, India, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka, many of which are organising visiting delegations.

Automation and Digitalisation Take Centre Stage

Brückner relax dryer POWER-DRY PD-1

Brückner Textile Technologies will present its latest stenter frame generation, the POWER-FRAME SFP-2, designed for finishing fabrics with high cotton content. The company is also showcasing the POWER-FRAME SFP-4 with new electricity and hydrogen-powered heating systems, alongside the ExperTex simulation tool that uses artificial intelligence to optimize drying and heat-setting processes. A newly developed POWER-DRY PD-1 relax and shrink dryer for knitted fabrics will also be on display, along with the OPTI-COAT 2in1 coating unit that combines floating knife and knife over cylinder advantages.

Trützschler Nonwovens’ X-series cards combine consistent quality, high output and scalable solutions – making them uniquely versatile for nonwoven production

Trützschler Group will unveil T-CAN, a smart automation solution designed to transform sliver transport in spinning preparation and address labour shortages. The company is also featuring its TC 30i card, which delivers up to 40% higher productivity in man-made fibre processing while allowing over 50% of card waste to be recycled through its advanced suction system. The integrated IDF 3 draw frame complements the TC 30i for a more compact spinning setup.

Weaving Technology Advances

Picanol is debuting its next-generation OmniPlus-i Connect airjet weaving machine, featuring EcoBoost technology that enables energy savings of up to 1.5 kW per machine. The company will display four weaving machines, including two OmniPlus-i Connect airjet models and Supermax and Ultimax rapier machines, alongside demonstrations of its PicConnect digital ecosystem that integrates AI-powered applications for mill optimisation.

Itema will showcase the global premiere of the Galileo-AX airjet weaving machine and the latest version of the Galileo-RX rapier machine in its widest 540cm configuration. The R9500EVO rapier machine with newly developed MEC-T mechanical tuckers will also be featured, along with the R9500EVOdenim equipped with iSAVER®eco technology that eliminates waste selvedge to save raw materials.

Spinning and Yarn Processing Innovation

Saurer will present its Autocard SC8 with Autocoil 3, featuring the PDS Pre-Draft System and rectangular cans, which hold more slivers than conventional round cans. The Zinser 51 ring-spinning machine with the new Zpact FX compact system will be demonstrated alongside the Autocoro 11 rotor spinning station with Duo Sliver Feeding, which allows blending two slivers in 1% increments directly in the spinning box for mélange and blended yarns.

Rieter is focusing on automation and digitisation with solutions for fully automatic spinning mills, including efficient bale transport, automated can transport, and fully automatic packaging. The company will present the OMEGAlap E 40, which raises combing preparation productivity to 800 kg/h—a 33% increase with 30% lower energy consumption. The NEO-BD precision winder delivers twice the package output of previous models, while the J 70 air-jet spinning machine introduces a new twist element for cost-effective carded fibre spinning.

Savio Macchine Tessili will highlight its Proxima Smartconer® next-generation winding platform with AI-driven automation and a patented suction nozzle that improves yarn-end capture efficiency. The Lybra Smartspinner® air-jet spinning technology features a Multi Blend System that enables feeding two slivers directly into the spinning chamber for real-time blending, while the Phoenix Assembly Winder returns to Singapore after 20 years with enhanced digital capabilities.

Nonwovens and Technical Textiles

Dilo Group, in collaboration with Kansan Materials, will present cutting-edge needling technology with a focus on lightweight nonwoven products below 100 g/sqm for hygiene, cosmetic, and medical applications. The company's 3D-Lofter technique combines additive fibre layering with the DILOUR structuring process to create patterned designs with "sliding colour" effects. The PowerPunch needle loom reduces machine vibration significantly, while the SuperPunch dual HyperPunch drive mechanism enhances throughput at low drafts.

Testing and Quality Control

James Heal has reimagined its classic Martindale tester with the launch of Martindale Motion, which allows independent operation of each of its nine stations for simultaneous testing of multiple textiles. The system can run continuously, automatically lifting sample holders at evaluation points to save operator time. 

VeriVide will unveil its latest DigiEye imaging system featuring 100% LED illumination, which eliminates annual fluorescent lamp replacements and offers a 67% larger imaging area and 112% larger measurement zone compared to earlier versions.

Mahlo is presenting the new Orthopac RVMC-20 plus straightening system, which combines feed-forward and closed-loop control for fabric distortion correction. The feed-forward control analyses the fabric at the inlet and proactively adjusts roller positions, while AI-supported closed-loop control at the outlet ensures fine-tuned corrections. The system is retrofit-compatible with Orthopac RVMC-15 series machines.

Finishing and Dyeing Technologies

PLEVA will showcase its PLEVATEC smart process control system and SL smart automatic weft-straightener, which addresses skilled labour shortages through automated control. The modular PLEVATEC integrates multiple sensor modules, including fabric/air temperature, residual moisture, exhaust humidity, and pick/course density, into one platform with recipe management and data history.

Textilcolor AG is presenting EcoDye and EcoFix technologies that can cut water usage by up to 71% and reduce fossil fuel-based energy consumption. EcoDye, designed for polyester dyeing, eliminates prewashing steps and cuts process duration and energy by over 34%. The company's PFC-free hydrophobic agents—EcoThren, EcoPhob, and EcoPhob EXT—are made from renewable resources and align with bluesign® and Öko-Tex standards.

BW Converting will preview its new Baldwin TexChroma digital spray dyeing system, which builds on the success of its Baldwin TexCoat G4 precision spray finishing system. According to production data, TexChroma can deliver savings of more than 30% in energy, dyes, and chemicals compared to continuous pad batch dyeing, and up to 50% compared to exhaust reactive dyeing. The system mixes reactive dyestuffs and alkali fixation chemicals seconds before spray application to eliminate tailing and listing issues.

iNTERSPARE Textilmaschinen will unveil the latest versions of the Krantz Syncro Tumble Relax Dryer and Krantz K30 Stenter Frame, featuring the Econ-Air airflow system that optimises energy use by heating and reusing air directly in the drying process. New-generation motors, Lenze inverters, integrated padders, and an automatic filter belt cleaning system enhance the Syncro's energy efficiency.

Digital Solutions and Manufacturing Execution Systems

BMSvision will showcase the next generation of its MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) platforms with 24/7/365 data capture for continuous real-time production visibility. The company is debuting DU3, a redesigned compact and affordable data terminal featuring expanded input options and an intuitive touchscreen interface for real-time monitoring of textile production equipment.

Vandewiele Group will unite its global brands to present technologies spanning weaving, spinning, knitting, finishing, and digital solutions. Highlights include the USF Carpet Weaving Machine with digital Fast Creel and 3-rapier system, Bonas's new Ji Jacquard Range for high-speed operation, Superba's KR1 AI-powered automatic knotting system, and Loepfe's advanced yarn clearing systems as the company celebrates 70 years of innovation.

National Delegations and Regional Focus

Italian manufacturers, represented through ACIMIT, will occupy approximately 4,000 square meters with 100 exhibitors showcasing advanced solutions covering digitalisation tools, automation systems, and environmentally conscious innovations. Italy's textile machinery exports to Asia reached €664 million in 2024, with sales in the first half of 2025 growing 1% year-on-year.

German companies, represented by VDMA with approximately 70 member companies, will present technologies across spinning, man-made fibres, nonwovens, weaving, knitting, finishing, and textile recycling. VDMA has organised a dedicated German Pavilion with two group stands hosting 30 exhibitors, emphasising efficiency, automation, digitalisation, and sustainability under the slogan "Experience Leading Technology."

UK-based companies under the British Textile Machinery Association (BTMA) will showcase a 20-company delegation. 

Fibre Extrusion Technology will present a groundbreaking parallel technology based on supercritical CO2 and a new flexible process for manufacturing ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). 

Cygnet Texkimp new prepreg tape slitting machine supports AFP and ATL operations

  Cygnet Texkimp will unveil technology supporting aerospace composites production through automated fibre placement and automated tape laying processes. 

Total control of textile drying is with the advanced radio freqency (RF) technology of Strayfield

  Strayfield will demonstrate radio frequency drying systems with over 4,000 global installations that deliver gentle, uniform drying while maintaining fibre integrity.

ACG Kinna Automatic will introduce the new Hector industrial sewing machine in Singapore

Swedish Textile Machinery Association (TMAS) members will focus on sensor-driven automation and resource efficiency. ACG Kinna Automatic has pioneered fully robotic production lines for pillows and duvets, and will debut the Hector industrial sewing machine designed for heavy-duty stitching. Eltex has advanced its EyETM tension monitoring system by integrating electromagnetic brakes with sensors for real-time automatic tension adjustment.

Speciality Equipment and Niche Technologies

Slack & Parr will present its upgraded range of large-capacity gear pumps for heavy denier, industrial, and nonwoven sectors. The company's enhanced IDY pump series offers durable solutions for processing high-viscosity polymers for industrial yarns, engineered to perform reliably under high pressures and temperatures.     Conclusion As the textile industry faces increasing demands for sustainability, automation, and digitalisation, ITMA Asia + CITME Singapore 2025 provides a comprehensive platform for manufacturers to explore technologies that address these challenges while improving productivity and reducing environmental impact across the entire textile value chain.
