ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026 to Showcase Intelligent Manufacturing and Sustainable Textile Technologies in Shanghai

Asia’s textile machinery exhibition to feature more than 1,800 exhibitors, emerging technologies and expanded exhibition space from November 20–24

ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026 will take place from November 20 to 24, 2026, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), bringing together textile machinery manufacturers and industry stakeholders from across the world. The exhibition will span approximately 180,000 square metres across seven halls, representing a 10% increase in exhibition space compared with the previous edition.

The event will showcase developments in intelligent manufacturing, automation, digitalisation and sustainable textile production while covering the complete textile and garment manufacturing value chain.

Exhibition to Feature Emerging Technology Segments

The 2026 edition will introduce several new sectors aligned with changing industry requirements, including:

  • Equipment for textile-reinforced composites
  • Textile recycling technologies
  • Digital platforms
  • Automation solutions for production processes

A dedicated Research and Innovation sector will also be introduced, bringing together leading Chinese universities to present research projects and examples of collaboration between academia and industry.

The section will include innovations such as embodied robots for textile applications, intelligent inspection technologies and artificial intelligence development platforms.

More Than 1,800 Companies Apply to Exhibit

According to the organisers, more than 1,800 exhibiting companies have applied to participate, with almost 90% of them based in China.

The exhibition will be organised by production process, covering the entire textile and garment manufacturing value chain, including:

  • Braiding
  • Dyeing and finishing
  • Embroidery
  • Garment making
  • Knitting
  • Man-made fibres
  • Nonwovens
  • Printing
  • Recycling
  • Spinning
  • Testing and packaging
  • Weaving

Confirmed exhibitors include Atexco, B.T.D., Barmag, Beijing Chonglee, BEST, CHTC, Cixing, Dornier, Epson, Fong’s, Hicorp, Hongyuan, Itema, Karl Mayer, Konica Minolta, LMW, Murata, Picanol, Rieter, Rifa, Santoni, Saurer, Shima Seiki, Staubli, Taitan, Texpro, TMT, Truetzschler, Vandewiele, Yingyang and Yoantion.

The participating companies are expected to showcase technologies focused on digitalisation, intelligent manufacturing, automation, sustainability, energy efficiency and resource optimisation.

Visitor Promotion Activities Underway

The organisers said the 2024 edition attracted more than 90,000 visitors from 111 countries and regions, with nearly 90% of attendees coming from China.

Visitor growth in 2024 was led by Argentina, Brazil and Colombia, while increased participation was also recorded from Algeria, Japan, Italy, Sri Lanka, Türkiye and the United Kingdom.

Between April and July 2026, promotional activities were conducted in:

  • India (Coimbatore, Ludhiana and Surat)
  • Indonesia (Jakarta)
  • Japan (Tokyo)
  • Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur)
  • Türkiye (Bursa and Istanbul)

Additional promotional programmes are planned in Bangladesh, Brazil, Egypt, Pakistan, South Africa and other countries and regions to encourage international visitor participation.

Trade Visitor Registration Open Until November 19

Trade visitor pre-registration opened on May 25, 2026, and will remain open until November 19, 2026.

Visitors can register through the official exhibition websites, www.itmaasia.com and www.citme.com.cn, as well as through the WeChat accounts of International Textile Machinery Exhibition, the China Textile Machinery Association, and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Textile Industry Sub-Council.

Early registrations are eligible for a 40% discount on admission tickets.

Trade associations, industry organisations and corporate visitor groups comprising six or more participants can also apply for preferential group admission packages.
