ITMA 2027 Stand Space Applications Now Open

Applications for stand space at ITMA 2027 are now officially open. The seven-day global textile and garment machinery exhibition will take place from 16 to 22 September 2027 at Messegelände Hannover, Germany.
Under the theme “Co-creating the Future of Textiles,” ITMA 2027 aims to gather worldwide industry leaders and innovators to collectively shape the future of textiles and garment manufacturing.
Following the resounding success of ITMA 2023 in Milan, textile and garment machinery manufacturers are encouraged to book their stand space early to showcase innovations, build partnerships, and expand their international market presence at the industry’s most prestigious platform.
Alex Zucchi, President of CEMATEX, owner of ITMA, said:
“In 2027, ITMA returns to Hanover after 36 years. More than a platform for the promotion of innovative technologies, it is a turning point in the textile industry. As we evolve from Industry 4.0 to 5.0, we’re not just automating, we’re humanising technology. Together, we’ll accelerate the shift towards a circular economy – one that is built on collaboration, innovation and regeneration.”
Dr. Janpeter Horn, Chairperson of VDMA Textile Machinery Association, added:
“We expect to have a strong presence of VDMA companies as our members are excited that ITMA will be staged in Germany after a long break. Supported by Hanover’s best-in-class exhibition infrastructure, ITMA 2027 will be an excellent platform for them to launch their latest innovations, focusing on efficiency, automation, digitalisation and sustainability.”
ITMA 2027 is projected to cover 200,000 square metres and host over 1,500 exhibitors. Dubbed the “Olympics of textile machinery exhibitions,” it will address the industry’s biggest opportunities and challenges, including sustainability compliance and rapid technological advancement.
CEMATEX Grants:
The exhibition will feature 20 product sectors spanning the complete textile and garment manufacturing value chain, including Research and Innovation. Research and educational institutions in this sector can benefit from a CEMATEX grant covering 50% of participation costs.
Additionally, up to 20 start-ups offering innovative solutions for the textile industry will receive full participation subsidies. This initiative, first launched in 2023 as Start-Up Valley, previously supported 15 pioneering companies.
Ida Alnemo, Head of Application & Sustainability at TreeToTextile, one of the 2023 participants, remarked:
“ITMA has been a great platform for future collaboration needed to scale breakthrough innovations like ours, to make a positive change in the textile industry in offering better fibres to all.”
