The ITM 2026 International Textile Machinery Exhibition, to be held at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, will bring together a wide range of advanced technologies focused on the future of denim manufacturing. The exhibition will present innovations spanning smart production systems, eco-friendly raw materials, digital washing applications, and laser effect technologies, many of which will be introduced to the industry for the first time.

Türkiye’s role as a key supplier in the global denim value chain is expected to be a central theme at ITM 2026. Supported by advanced production technologies, a strong logistics infrastructure, and flexible, high-quality manufacturing capabilities, Türkiye remains a preferred sourcing destination for international denim fabric manufacturers.

According to the World Denim Fabric Sector Foreign Trade Report published by the Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association (ITHIB), Türkiye ranked among the European Union’s most important denim fabric suppliers in 2024. The country accounted for 25.4 percent of the EU’s denim fabric imports and achieved $291 million in denim fabric exports, ranking fourth globally. In the ready-to-wear segment, Türkiye recorded $3.5 billion in denim apparel exports in 2024, placing it fourth worldwide and making it the second-largest supplier to the EU market, after Bangladesh.

Sustainability remains a defining feature of Turkish denim production. Turkish manufacturers are increasingly adopting eco-friendly production methods while maintaining traditional denim craftsmanship. Working in collaboration with international certification bodies, manufacturers are developing collections made from 100 percent organic and 100 percent recyclable fabrics, reflecting a strong focus on environmental responsibility.

One of the key highlights of the five-day ITM 2026 exhibition will be the Denim Technologies section. This dedicated area will cover all stages of denim production, including washing, dyeing, finishing, laser cutting, sustainable chemicals, and digital solutions. Technologies aimed at reducing water and energy consumption, minimizing chemical use, and increasing automation efficiency will be presented, offering insight into the evolving priorities of denim manufacturing worldwide.

Through its focus on sustainability, digitalization, and efficiency, ITM 2026 is positioned as a platform where industry stakeholders can examine emerging technologies shaping the next phase of global denim production.
