ITM 2026: Technologies and Innovations on Display in Istanbul

ITM 2026, one of the world’s leading textile technology exhibitions, returns to Istanbul from June 9 to 13, 2026, at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center. Spanning sectors from weaving and knitting to yarn, digital printing, finishing, and denim, the event serves as a convergence point for textile machinery manufacturers and producers from across the globe. This year’s edition features a broad range of technologies, with several exhibitors presenting new systems, components, and process solutions aimed at improving production performance and resource efficiency.
Itema – Weaving Solutions and Spare Parts (Hall 8, Stand 806D)

Itema’s exhibition is structured around two areas: a weaving solutions zone and a textile gallery displaying fabrics produced on Itema machines by customers worldwide. The fabrics include complex constructions and items made with delicate, precious, or recycled yarns.
On the technology side, Itema will present the MEC-T mechanical tuckers and the iSAVER® waste selvedge removal system, now available in configurations supporting up to six colors. The iSAVER® system reduces material waste during the weaving process by efficiently removing waste selvedge.
The stand will also focus on OEM spare parts, including components for legacy Itema brands. Visitors can additionally explore the HelloItema customer portal, which provides access to Itema’s spare parts ecosystem.
BW Converting – TexCoat G4 and Corona Pure (Hall 11, Booth 1113A)

TexCoat® G4
BW Converting will exhibit two technologies: the Baldwin TexCoat® G4 precision spray finishing system and the Corona Pure surface treatment technology.
TexCoat G4 applies finishing chemistry to one or both sides of a fabric using a non-contact spray process, replacing conventional bath-based application. The company states this can reduce wet pick-up by up to 50 percent, lowering water consumption and reducing drying energy. At Zaman Textile Mills in Pakistan, the mill reported up to 50 percent reduction in chemical usage and a 30 percent increase in production following installation.
Corona Pure addresses fabric surface treatment for improved adhesion. Its relevance at ITM relates to the industry’s ongoing shift away from C6 fluorocarbon-based water repellents toward C0 fluorocarbon-free chemistries. The system helps improve absorbency and enhances the performance of newer chemical formulations.
BB Engineering – Spin Pack, Compact Spinning, and Filtration (Hall 7, Booth 702B)

VarioFil® spinning line
BB Engineering will exhibit at a joint stand with parent company Barmag and Turkish representative Tekstil Servis. The portfolio covers components and complete systems for spinning synthetic fibers, air-texturing, and PET recycling.
The newly patented ValuePack spin pack is a key highlight. Conventional spin packs use either metal powder (sand) or filter candles as filtration media — each suited to different applications. The ValuePack combines both in a two-step process: the melt passes first through a filter candle (filtering down to 15 µm), then through a sand chamber for homogenization and shearing. BB Engineering reports improved temperature and viscosity consistency, better spinning performance, and applicability beyond PET recycling. The pack is also independently force-sealed, reducing leak risk compared to self-sealing designs. Existing systems can be retrofitted.
The VarioFil® compact spinning system produces yarns including POY, FDY, HTY, LSY, and HMY from common polymers, with capacity up to 450 kg/h per extruder. It can also process recycled PET or bottle flakes directly into POY or FDY. Turkey is the largest market for VarioFil®, with over 60 systems installed.
The COBRA® filter, first shown at the Plastics Recycling Show Europe and K 2025, uses two filter cartridges with automatic switching for continuous, uninterrupted filtration. An integrated automated cleaning system extends filter media life without chemical use, targeting high-contamination recycling streams where conventional filters may reach their limits.
Uster – FiberQ Raw Material Management System (Hall 7, Booth 714B)

Uster will have experts at ITM 2026 to discuss FiberQ, part of the Uster 360Q platform. The system helps spinning mills monitor fiber inventories and blending processes through data collected on a unified platform. It tracks key parameters from blend preparation through production — including micronaire and color consistency — to reduce the risk of shade variation (barré) in downstream processes.
Turkish denim producer ORTA (Orta Anadolu Ticaret ve Sanayi İşletmesi T.A.Ş.) uses FiberQ for managing recycled yarns. Orhan Herdem, Spinning Group Manager at ORTA, noted that the system has introduced greater systematic control to the cotton blending preparation stage, made decision-making more measurable and predictable, and improved overall quality consistency and process stability.
TMAS Members – Swedish Textile Machinery at ITM 2026

Several members of TMAS, the Swedish Textile Machinery Association, will present advanced technologies at ITM 2026, focusing on resource-efficient dyeing, automation, yarn monitoring, and tufting components.
imogo – Dye-Max Spray Dyeing System (Hall 3, Stand 305)

imogo will introduce its Dye-Max spray dyeing technology at ITM. The system operates at a very low liquor ratio of 0.5 litres per kilogram of fabric, achieving up to 90 percent reductions in both water and energy consumption compared to conventional jet dyeing. Chemical and dyestuff usage is also significantly reduced, with wastewater at changeovers limited to approximately 20 litres. A Dye-Max unit has recently been commissioned for a key H&M supplier in Bangladesh.
Automatex – P12-PB Automatic Lock Stitch Quilting Unit

The Automatex P12-PB quilting module is equipped with twelve modified servo-driven lock stitch sewing heads.
The P12-PB is an automatic lock stitch quilting unit designed for high-volume production of bedding and padded home textiles. It features twelve servo-driven lock stitch sewing heads arranged in two programmable banks of six, allowing flexible switching between straight-line and shaped patterns without mechanical changeover. Automatic bobbin changers and thread break detectors ensure continuous operation. The machine runs at up to 12 metres per minute and handles filling weights from 100 to 450 gsm.
Eltex of Sweden – Yarn Tension Monitoring (Hall 7, Stand 706A)

Eltex will showcase the ACT-Multi system for precise multi-channel yarn tension control and the ACT-R system for rapier weaving machines. Both provide real-time monitoring with automatic machine stop functions for yarn breaks or out-of-limit tension. The ACT-R is particularly effective for maintaining consistent weft tension with recycled fibers as well as high-value technical yarns like Kevlar.
IRO Gauge Parts (Vandewiele) – Tufting Components (Hall 7, Stand 710A)

IRO’s tufting concept combines modular efficiency with single-hook performance and has already been sold to several producers in Türkiye.
IRO Gauge Parts will highlight its semi-module concept, which combines modular efficiency with single-hook performance and high-quality single hooks. These components have already been adopted by several Turkish producers. Gauge parts manufacturing for the Vandewiele group has been based in Sweden since 2020.
ITM 2026 runs from June 9 to 13 at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center, Istanbul.
