Itema Strengthens India Presence With New Surat Service Center

Itema boosts regional service capabilities with a dedicated center in Surat.
Itema has inaugurated its new Surat Service Center, expanding its support capabilities and reinforcing its strong position in one of India’s most influential textile hubs.
Itema marked a significant milestone with the official opening of its new Surat Service Center, celebrated in the presence of customers and industry partners from across the region.
Itema has maintained a strong presence in India since 2002, operating through a fully established subsidiary staffed by over 50 professionals. The company provides end-to-end support covering sales, after-sales, technical assistance, and advanced repair capabilities. This robust local infrastructure has enabled Itema to consistently deliver superior service quality to weaving customers across the country.
In recent years, Itema has witnessed exceptional growth in India, with the Surat market playing a major role in its expansion. The city has emerged as a stronghold for Itema’s premium rapier weaving machines, widely preferred for their remarkable versatility and ability to deliver high-quality textile output. These advantages empower Surat’s weaving community to produce the exquisite, intricate, and fashion-forward saree and women’s apparel fabrics the region is known for.
Highlighting this success, Sameer Kulkarni, Managing Director, Itema Weaving India, said, “Since 2021, Itema has achieved extraordinary growth in Surat. We have installed a substantial number of Itema weaving machines in local mills. We are honored to support Surat’s weaving excellence with technology that enables the creation of some of India’s most stunning fabrics.”
The newly inaugurated Surat Service Center further reinforces Itema’s long-term commitment to this key textile cluster. The facility includes a high-efficiency spare parts hub and a specialized electronic repair center, strengthening the company’s comprehensive customer care network and ensuring faster, localized support for Surat’s weaving industry.
