Italy Pavilion to feature leading manufacturers and latest nonwoven technologies from May 19–22

Italian textile machinery manufacturers are set to participate in INDEX 2026, scheduled from May 19 to 22 in Geneva, Switzerland. The event will bring together key players from the global nonwovens sector. An official Italy Pavilion, organised by the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and ACIMIT, will present industry developments and innovations.

A delegation of Italian companies will exhibit at INDEX 2026, the international trade fair focused on nonwoven technologies, taking place in Geneva (Switzerland) from May 19 to 22. The Italy Pavilion, organised by the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and ACIMIT, will cover an area of over 140 square meters and will present a range of solutions from Italian manufacturers.

INDEX has consistently served as a global platform for companies involved in nonwoven machinery. The sector continues to evolve internationally, with Italy maintaining a significant presence in the global trade of specialised technologies.

Despite ongoing global market challenges, exports of Italian textile machinery have demonstrated stable performance, reflecting the sector’s continued activity.

“We hope that INDEX 2026 can represent a moment of strong momentum for the sector, confirming the recovery of global demand for innovative machinery,” says the President of ACIMIT, Marco Salvadè.

Market demand in recent years has increasingly focused on technologies that combine production efficiency with environmental considerations. “Today, Italian manufacturers can offer highly customized solutions particularly suitable for making nonwoven production more sustainable,” confirms Salvadè. “In Geneva, Italian manufacturers will present the most recent innovations necessary to make our customers’ production processes more efficient and sustainable.”

Companies exhibiting within the Italy Pavilion include A.Piovan S.r.l., Aeris S.r.l., Bettarini & Serafini S.r.l., Bianco S.p.A., Bonino Carding Machines S.r.l., Cubotex S.r.l., M.T.V. S.r.l., Marzoli Machines Textile S.r.l., Monti Antonio S.p.A., Ommi S.r.l., Texera S.r.l., and Unitech Industries S.r.l.

Additional ACIMIT member companies participating independently or through local representatives include Cormatex S.r.l., Dell’Orco & Villani S.r.l., Loptex S.r.l., Ramatex Italia S.r.l., and Ramina S.r.l.

ACIMIT, established in 1945, represents the Italian textile machinery industry and supports its development both domestically and internationally. The association includes around 300 companies employing approximately 13,000 people. The sector produces machinery valued at about €2.1 billion, with around 86% of output exported.
