100 Italian exhibitors highlight innovation and sustainability in Singapore.

Italy’s top textile machinery manufacturers present advanced solutions and sustainable technologies at ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025.

A total of 100 Italian companies will showcase their innovations at ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025, scheduled from October 28 to 31. Occupying approximately 4,000 square meters, Italy remains one of the top exhibiting countries, as in previous editions. Out of these, 53 Italian exhibitors will present their technologies within the National Sector Groups, organized by ACIMIT (Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers) in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency.

The ITMA ASIA + CITME platform has consistently served as a key showcase for textile machinery in Asia, a region that accounted for 50% of global textile machinery exports, valued at €8.8 billion in 2024. China and India dominate as the main importers, collectively purchasing machinery worth €4.3 billion.

For Italian manufacturers, Asia represents the largest foreign market. In 2024, Italian textile machinery exports to Asia reached €664 million, and in the first half of 2025, sales to the region grew 1% year-on-year, totaling €317 million. Major destinations include China, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

Marco Salvadè, President of ACIMIT, remarks:
"ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore offers Italian textile machinery manufacturers another prime opportunity to present their latest technological offerings. Singapore’s strategic location allows exhibitors to connect with rapidly growing Southeast Asian markets."

He adds, "Despite geopolitical uncertainties, the strong Italian presence underscores the sector’s vitality. Visitors will experience a broad spectrum of advanced solutions covering the entire textile value chain, including digitalization tools for efficiency and connectivity, automation systems, and environmentally conscious innovations. Our manufacturers continue to blend traditional textile expertise with cutting-edge technology."

Giorgio Calveri, Director of ITA Singapore, notes:
"With 86% of Italy’s €2.1 billion textile machinery production exported, the industry demonstrates a strong international focus, with Asia as a primary market. ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025 provides a strategic platform to reinforce Italy’s role as a trusted provider of advanced, sustainable, and competitive technologies."

ACIMIT represents around 300 manufacturers, employing 12,500 people, with a total turnover of €2.1 billion, of which 86% is exported. The sector’s strengths—creativity, sustainable technology, reliability, and quality—have established Italian machinery as a global leader.
