Italian Textile and Machinery Companies to Explore Business Opportunities in Brazil at Two Workshops

A trade mission scheduled for 19–24 October 2026 will bring together 22 Italian companies for workshops, B2B meetings and industrial visits across Santa Catarina and São Paulo.

The Italian Trade Agency, in collaboration with the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT) and Confindustria Moda, is organising a trade mission to Brazil from 19 to 24 October 2026 to strengthen commercial and industrial ties between the two countries’ textile sectors.

The programme includes two workshops, scheduled for 20 October in the state of Santa Catarina and 22 October in São Paulo. The mission will bring together Italian companies specialising in textile machinery, yarns, fabrics and clothing accessories, with activities designed to encourage business partnerships and explore opportunities for collaboration.

Workshops to Connect Italian Companies with Brazilian Industry

The mission will cover key textile manufacturing regions in Brazil through seminars, business-to-business (B2B) meetings and visits to local production facilities.

The first stage will take place in Santa Catarina, with activities planned in Blumenau, Joinville and Brusque. The second stage will be held in São Paulo, including activities in Americana and at Denim City São Paulo, a centre focused on innovation and the textile and denim industries.

The programme aims to showcase capabilities across Italy’s textile supply chain, including machinery, materials and clothing accessories. Italian textile machinery manufacturers are particularly focused on developing advanced and customised solutions for an industry increasingly concerned with production efficiency, sustainability and technological innovation.

Italian Textile Machinery Exports to Brazil Reach €48 Million in 2025

Brazil is an important Latin American market for Italian textile machinery manufacturers. According to the figures provided by ACIMIT, Italian exports of textile machinery to Brazil reached €48 million in 2025. Exports totalled €20 million in the first half of 2026, placing Brazil tenth among the leading destination markets for Italian textile machinery.

Finishing technologies accounted for 57% of Italian textile machinery exports to Brazil. Accessories and other machinery each represented 11%, while knitting machinery accounted for 10%.

These figures highlight the role of Brazil in the Italian textile machinery industry's export markets and the scope for further commercial engagement between manufacturers and Brazilian textile producers.

ACIMIT Highlights Opportunities for Industrial Collaboration

Marco Salvadè, President of ACIMIT, said, “Brazil is a market of great interest to our industry, with which we have well-established commercial relations and significant prospects for collaboration,” said Marco Salvadè, President of ACIMIT. “This mission represents a concrete opportunity to strengthen dialogue between Italian companies and Brazilian operators, fostering new synergies across the entire textile supply chain. Our companies’ ability to offer innovative, flexible and sustainable technologies can make a significant contribution to modernising the local textile industry and enhancing its competitiveness. The decision to organise two workshops in different manufacturing regions of the country also demonstrates our commitment to fostering direct dialogue with Brazil’s various industrial clusters, thereby making the most of the opportunities offered by this important market.”

22 Italian Companies to Participate

The mission will bring together 22 Italian companies, including 18 operating in the textile machinery sector. The machinery companies listed by the organisers are:

The initiative is organised by the Italian Trade Agency and ACIMIT, with support from Confindustria Moda, to facilitate direct engagement between Italian suppliers and Brazil’s textile manufacturing clusters.
