Mr. Akhil Kapadia is the co-founder of DROPTECH PRINTING SOLUTIONS, he is currently developing the new products for textile division , he have been working in this field since last 5 years, he has worked extensively on different print heads and vivid integrators and jetting technologies.
About DROPTECH PRINTING SOLUTIONS:
DTPS was founded in mid of 2021 just after the end of COVID, DTPS mainly focuses on manufacturing inkjet printers for textiles in India with latest innovation and mechanical integrations available on the market.
What is the solution that you offer in digital printing? What is your product portfolio?
We currently provide digital textile printers with industrial as well as semi industrial print heads with reactive, acid, pigment and disperse inks.
Our product portfolio includes printers integrated with EPSON, Ricoh and Kyocera print heads.
Drop Tech offers two ranges of machines, Neo and Voyager, what is the preliminary difference between the two?
DTPS products are currently segmented into 2 categories based on their print head integration:
NEO: 8/16/32 Ricoh G6 Print heads, available in print size of 72 inches and 130 inches .
VOYAGER: 8/16/32 Epson i3200, available in print size of 72 inches and 130 inches.
Talking about the range of machines, do you offer any other add on services?
We provide customization services as per the technical requirement of the client. We also have a standard after sales policy; we provide warranty on our products for 1 year.
What is your opinion on the current state of India’s Digital printing industry?
Looking at the current global trends and impacts of textile industry on the environment , it is in-evitable for Indian market to find alternative to traditional processes, currently indian digital printing industry is enjoying market share of just a shy of 3.5% has a huge potential in coming future .
What differentiates you from the other players in the digital printing Machinery?
Currently, the Indian market is flooded with products which have a very high cost of procurement leading to high CAPEX , decreasing the ROI of the manufacturer/printer , we want to make this technology available to everyone .
What is your market share in the digital printing machineries in India?
We are currently expanding our market and expanding our sales regions. In terms of Export, we are in discussion with many buyers based in Mexico, Brazil, Italy and Bangladesh.
Do you have any plans for expansion product or production capacity wise in near future?
Yes we are developing new Products with higher production capacity and competitive prices.
As we know the ITMA 2023 is approaching, how are you looking forward to it?
We are looking forward to seeing new innovations in this field as it seems that for textiles, the R&D has come to a halt after 2017-18 due to the pandemic.
