Mark Irvin Appointed To The Board Of Directors In Hanes Brand

HanesBrands Inc., a supplier of iconic apparel brands, announced today the appointment of Mark Irvin to the company’s board of directors.Bobby J. Griffin, a director since 2006, has also announced his intention to retire from the board when his current term expires at the 2023 annual meeting of stockholders.

Irvin’s term will end at the annual meeting of stockholders in 2024. years of service to HanesBrands, as well as his advice and support as we developed and implemented our Full Potential plan.” Irvin is Best Buy Co.’s executive vice president and chief supply chain officer, where he oversees the global supply chain strategy and day-to-day operations for the company’s 1,000 stores and online customers. Irvin previously served as the company’s chief inclusion, diversity, and talent officer, where he oversaw the company’s strategy for creating and maintaining an inclusive work environment for its 100,000 employees.

Irvin held executive positions at Target, Cummins, Corporate Express Delivery Systems, and Baxter Healthcare before joining Best Buy in 2013. Irvin serves on the board of directors of the National Retail Federation Foundation. He graduated from Fisk University with a bachelor’s degree. University in Nashville and a master’s degree in business administration from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. He was a field medical logistics officer in the United States Armed Forces for eight years.
