Intertextile Shenzhen Debuts Two Zones for Textile Innovation

Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics, a key platform in South China’s fashion and textile industry, is set to return from 11–13 June 2025 at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center (Halls 1 & 9). This year’s edition will feature exhibitors from China, across Asia-Pacific, and other global regions, presenting a wide variety of fabrics and accessories for segments such as ladieswear, casualwear, denim, suiting, shirting, sportswear, swimwear, lingerie, and more.
Two new zones, The Closet and Fashion Gallery, will debut at the fair to spotlight cutting-edge fashion and textile developments.
The Closet: A Hub for Emerging Design and Innovation
This curated space will serve as a launchpad for young designers and garment makers to showcase their pioneering work. Key highlights include:
- Sustainable Fashion and Apparel Association (SFAA): Displaying eco-friendly fashion innovations using recycled materials and processes that lower environmental impact.
- Mint Studio (Hong Kong Polytechnic University): Featuring garments by five young Hong Kong designers and supporting talent development through global exposure and collaborations.
- Hong Kong Fur Federation (HKFF): Advocating for sustainable fur as a renewable and biodegradable material.
Fashion Gallery: A Showcase of Advanced Apparel and Technology
This zone will present diverse offerings in ladieswear, casualwear, lingerie, sportswear, and original textiles. It also includes tech-integrated fashion solutions:
- AiDLab: Showcasing tools like AiDA for AI-generated fashion design and WiseEye for automated fabric defect detection.
- Nano and Advanced Materials Institute (NAMI): Introducing a sustainable biosynthesized dye that allows for unique hues and direct yarn dyeing.
Japan and Korea Pavilions: Regional Strengths on Display
The Japan Pavilion will highlight premium ladieswear fabrics including lace, jacquard, wool, cotton, and digital printing. The Korea Pavilion will feature apparel textiles ideal for sportswear and casual wear, including polyester blends, functional textiles, and lace and embroidery.
Intertextile Shenzhen continues to be a gateway for innovation, enabling attendees to explore emerging trends, technologies, and sustainable practices. Held alongside Yarn Expo Shenzhen, BIRD Fashion Fair, and PH Value, the fair is jointly organized by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, Messe Frankfurt (Shenzhen) Co Ltd, Sub-Council of Textile Industry (CCPIT), and the China Textile Information Center.
