Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles to return in August 2026 at NECC

The Autumn Edition of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles will be held from 18 to 20 August 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). The fair follows Heimtextil, the flagship event in Messe Frankfurt’s home and contract textiles portfolio. According to the organisers, the 2025 Autumn Edition recorded more than 35,000 trade buyers from 116 countries and regions, reflecting a 55.6% rise in international visitors, and hosted nearly 900 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions.
Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, said:
“The international presence at the fair continues to grow, with overseas visitors increasing for three consecutive years. In addition, the 2025 edition welcomed new overseas exhibitors from countries like Bulgaria, Finland, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, the Netherlands, and Vietnam. The fair has become crucial for the industry – not only for building relationships, but also for gaining insights into innovative trends, showcasing products, and inspiring future product development that could shape market directions.”
The Trend Forum will again be supported by NellyRodi Agency, which will contribute to an expanded and interactive presentation format. A joint group of Chinese and international designers will develop themes covering colour ranges and moodboards of fabrics, materials and prints, as well as exhibitor-linked products.
The global home textile market is projected to reach USD 220.2 billion by 2032, growing at a CAGR of 6.8% during 2025 – 2032. Growth is linked to lifestyle changes, increased focus on home aesthetics, and innovation in materials and sustainability features. Supply chains are also shifting, with Chinese manufacturing strengthening design and R&D capabilities while cost-sensitive production expands across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and parts of Central and Latin America.
At the previous edition, the Editor Zone featured 53 overseas high-end brands, including 23 new participants. Industry associations taking part included Associacao Home From Portugal, the Home Textile Export Council of Egypt, and the Nippon Interior Association of Japan. Products highlighted included chenille fabrics, coarse linen textures, and curtains using anti-static technology.
The 2026 edition is expected to include categories such as upholstery and sofa fabrics, bedding, curtains, and sun protection. Organisers stated that the event will continue to provide a sourcing platform for buyers and exhibitors across design, materials, and production solutions.
Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, and the China Home Textile Association.
