Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles 2026 to Highlight Trends 2027 and New Lifestyle Zone

Autumn Edition in Shanghai to introduce ‘BREATHE UP!’ trend theme, expanded product categories and lifestyle-focused sourcing areas

Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition 2026 will present new trend directions, expanded product offerings, and a newly launched Home Textiles Lifestyle Zone during the exhibition from 18 – 20 August 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).

The fair will showcase the trend theme ‘BREATHE UP!’, developed in collaboration with international trend forecasting agency NellyRodi™ Agency, alongside product innovations focused on sustainability, emotional well-being, and multifunctional living environments.

Fair to focus on changing lifestyle and consumer trends

As consumer preferences continue to evolve toward sustainable living, home-centered lifestyles, and wellness-oriented interiors, the exhibition will serve as a sourcing and business platform for the home textiles and lifestyle sector.

The event will span four halls and include curated displays, immersive installations, and exhibitor showcases reflecting changing market demands and design directions.

The 2027 trend theme was developed under the guidance of NellyRodi™ Agency by a committee including Founder and Trendsetter Ms Nelly Rodi, Global Creative Director Ms Cécile Rosenstrauch, and Founder and Design Director of the Interior Architects Design Mr Shen Lei.

At the exhibition, the concept ‘BREATHE UP!’ will be presented through a dedicated trend area designed to showcase upcoming textile and interior design directions.

‘BREATHE UP!’ explores balance, creativity and sustainability

According to the organizers, the trend theme reflects a growing focus on emotional well-being, balanced living environments, and renewed interaction between individuals and their surroundings.

The concept is structured around three textile directions:

  • RE-DECORATE – focused on expressive interiors, artisanal craftsmanship, textures, and bold aesthetics.
  • RE-CONNECT – centered on minimal design, intelligent functionality, and calming spaces.
  • RE-USE – highlighting recycled materials, circular design approaches, and sustainable textile innovation.

These themes are expected to be reflected in product developments and exhibitor presentations throughout the exhibition.

New lifestyle zone to expand product categories

The fair will introduce a new Home Textiles Lifestyle Zone featuring categories such as carpets, wallpapers, aromatherapy, and home accessories.

Highlighted exhibitors in the new area include Simple Home and Zhejiang Nine home Co Ltd. The zone is intended to reflect increasing integration between home textiles and lifestyle products as consumers seek coordinated living environments.

In addition, the exhibition will expand its commerce product scope to address the growing role of e-commerce platforms and digital retail tools within the home and lifestyle market.

Sustainability and contract business remain key focus areas

Aligned with China’s policies related to sustainable development and green consumption, the fair will also spotlight exhibitors specializing in contract business and environmentally focused innovations.

Organizers stated that the exhibition aims to connect suppliers with buyers from hospitality, contract, and public sectors seeking sustainable and low-carbon interior solutions.

Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; and the China Home Textile Association (CHTA).
