Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles 2025 to Redefine Sector Focus

Beyond its comprehensive product offerings, the Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition 2025 will present a redesigned fringe programme aimed at advancing the home textiles sector through creativity, innovation, and collaboration. Taking place from 20 – 22 August 2025 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, the updated programme will revolve around four strategic themes: NextGen, Palette, Connector, and Go-Green. The programme aims to bring together industry professionals to share insights, promote sustainability, and foster business synergies through interactive formats such as forums, panel discussions, and product showcases.

NextGen: Envisioning the Future of Interior Textiles

Led by circular textile advocate Ms Anja Bisgaard Gaede, the Future & Textile Zone will immerse attendees in innovation via future-facing materials, AI-integrated design tools, and hands-on product previews. Four key features include:

Future of Textiles: Over 20 innovative, sustainable, and bio-based textiles, ranging from bioengineered to waste-derived materials.
Try It Yourself: Live demos of interior textile samples by Ms Gaede.

Textile Hunt: A gamified zone exploration offering prizes for discovering textile innovations.

Palette: Creative Dialogue Across Cultures

This theme emphasizes the role of cross-cultural design in influencing home textile trends. Through seminars and guided sessions, designers such as Ms Camilla Rudnicki (Denmark) and Mr Akiyuki Sasaki (Japan) will share design philosophies and practical applications in interior decoration. These sessions will offer attendees inspiration and applicable techniques for product selection and textile integration in spaces.

Connector: Bridging Global Business & Partnerships

Aimed at international cooperation, the Connector theme features perspectives from emerging markets. Mr Juan Fernando Loaiza (Colombia), Mr Shokhrukh Kayumov (Uzbekistan), and Ms Vivie Wei (Vietnam) will provide regional insights into home textile opportunities and guide attendees on business engagement strategies.

The Home Textiles x Interior Decoration Summit will also explore aging-adapted renovations, innovation in product categories, and the demands of Gen Z consumers. The event invites industry leaders and institutions to share actionable insights on upgrading the sector.

Go-Green: Advancing Sustainable Practices

Environmental leadership in the home textile industry takes center stage in this theme. Professor Yuen (The Hong Kong Polytechnic University) will moderate a panel on green business models and branding strategies.
