Indorama Ventures, Jiaren Partner to Boost Textile Recycling

A major partnership backed by Indorama Ventures’ multi-million-dollar investment aims to scale up textile-to-textile chemical recycling and strengthen sustainable supply chains.
Indorama Ventures’ Fibers business, a leading global supplier of recycled technical textiles, polyester fibers, and yarns, has entered into a strategic joint venture with Jiaren Chemical Recycling, a global leader in polyester chemical recycling technology. The collaboration marks a significant step toward advancing circularity across the global textile industry through innovation, investment, and collaboration.
The joint venture aims to unlock up to 100,000 tonnes of textile-recycled PET spinning capacity per year, strengthening the resilience, transparency, and sustainability of the textile value chain. Supported by Indorama Ventures’ double-digit million-dollar equity investment in Jiaren’s recycling infrastructure, the partnership will help expand global access to high-quality, circular materials.
Indorama Ventures brings its extensive global manufacturing footprint across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas, enabling brand owners to establish local sourcing hubs and reduce logistical challenges. Meanwhile, Jiaren’s advanced chemical recycling technology—encompassing textile waste collection, sorting, de-colorization, and re-polymerization—will make large-scale textile-to-textile recycling a commercial reality. The recycled polyester fibers and yarns produced will retain the same performance and quality consumers expect, while helping brands meet climate targets and reduce waste.
Mr. Diego Boeri, Executive President of Indorama Ventures’ Fibers business, emphasized the shared responsibility of achieving sustainability:
“Mismanaged textile waste and rising climate expectations cannot be solved by one company alone. It requires collective investment in infrastructure, technology, and operations. Only together can all value chain players build true circular business models,” said Boeri. “Regulators must encourage these investments, especially in Europe, and consumers should be more aware of global material flows to make informed choices. This partnership, backed by our multi-million-dollar equity investment in Jiaren’s capacity, demonstrates our commitment to leading the transition toward a circular textile economy. We consider Jiaren the most advanced player in chemical textile recycling today.”
Mr. Fang Jiayu, Chief Commercial Officer (International Market) of Jiaren, expressed similar optimism:
“Jiaren Chemical Recycling is already one of the world’s largest PET textile chemical recyclers, and our capacity continues to grow. Partnering with a global powerhouse like Indorama Ventures enables us to expand our reach, tackle the global textile waste crisis, and secure diverse, stable supply chains for brands and customers worldwide.”
The joint venture is subject to regulatory approvals and will serve as a catalyst for accelerating the transition to a more circular and sustainable textile industry.
