Indian Heritage Returns at 19th HGH India, Connecting Traditional Craftsmanship with Modern Retail Opportunities

Dedicated exhibition zone to connect traditional artisans, crafts and handloom products with retailers and institutional buyers from June 30 to July 3, 2026

The Indian Heritage initiative will be featured at the 19th edition of HGH India, taking place from June 30 to July 3, 2026, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The platform is designed to showcase the skills of India’s artisans, craftsmen and weavers while connecting them with retailers, institutional buyers and the wider trade community.

Over the past 10 editions, the Indian Heritage initiative has developed into a dedicated platform highlighting Indian art, craftsmanship and cultural traditions. It features a wide range of craft forms, including handicrafts, painting, embroidery, pottery, woodwork, weaving and metal art, many of which are now incorporated into contemporary home décor, textiles, houseware and gifting products.

The exhibition zone is intended to link traditional Indian craftsmanship with modern retail opportunities, supporting the preservation of heritage skills while expanding opportunities for design relevance, market access and sustainable sector growth.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to watch live craft demonstrations by master craftsmen and National Awardees. The demonstrations will showcase traditional techniques being practised in real time throughout the exhibition.

Featured artisans include Raisuddin, known for high-quality ceramic pots and authentic Khurja pottery; Sumar Khatri, a Rogan artist associated with preserving the 400-year-old painting art form; Rakesh Petigara, recognised for Surat’s GI-tagged Saadeli Wood Craft; and Sagar Kumar Singh, who will demonstrate intricate metal carving.

Retailers, institutional buyers and gift buyers attending the 19th edition will be able to source products from a broad selection that includes handicrafts, handwoven textiles, ethnic décor, jute and coir products, pottery, woodcraft and metal artistry from different regions. These products will be displayed across three exhibition halls under one roof.

The Indian Heritage initiative is supported by the Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, State Governments of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana, along with various Government and private institutions.
