INDA Engages State Legislators on Nonwovens Issues at 2026 NCSL Legislative Summit

Nonwovens association discusses flushability, wipes labeling and industry issues with policymakers in Chicago

INDA recently concluded its participation in the 2026 National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) Legislative Summit, held in Chicago, Illinois. The annual event brought together over 9,000 state legislators, legislative directors, policy staffers and other participants from across the country.

Wes Fisher, Director of Government Affairs, and Kevin Conroy, Senior Manager of Government Affairs, represented INDA in the exhibit hall. During the summit, they engaged with state legislators, legislative staff, international delegates and key industry stakeholders on issues affecting the nonwovens industry.

Visitors to INDA’s booth received information on several legislative and technical topics, including flushability standards, the California Collection Study, state-level wipes labeling legislation and the broader economic footprint of the nonwovens sector.

The NCSL Legislative Summit is an annual gathering of state lawmakers, policy experts, corporations and trade associations focused on state-level policy discussions. INDA’s participation at the 2026 summit addressed regulatory and technical topics relevant to nonwoven consumer and industrial products.
