INDA Begins Search for New Executive Director

INDA launches recruitment for Executive Director to strengthen its regional leadership and advance the Global Nonwovens Alliance.
INDA has begun recruiting for an Executive Director based in Cary, NC, marking a strategic step in aligning its regional and global goals through the Global Nonwovens Alliance.
INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, together with the Global Nonwovens Alliance (GNA), has launched a recruitment process for a new Executive Director role based at its headquarters in Cary, North Carolina. This newly created position aligns with the strategic growth of the Global Nonwovens Alliance, co-founded by INDA and EDANA, and reflects the evolving leadership structure needed to strengthen collaboration and operational integration.
Current INDA President and CEO Tony Fragnito will transition to an executive consultant role, supporting leadership changes, organizational integration, and international outreach aimed at expanding GNA’s influence and participation until his planned retirement.
The appointed INDA Executive Director will act as the organization’s chief staff executive, reporting directly to the Global Nonwovens Alliance CEO. The role involves spearheading regional strategies, managing day-to-day operations, and representing INDA’s interests across the Americas. The Executive Director will also collaborate closely with the Global CEO and regional leaders to align INDA’s objectives with the GNA’s overarching mission.
“This new role will be instrumental in realizing the full potential of not just INDA but the Global Nonwovens Alliance. While INDA remains a separate legal entity, its members, staff, and the industry at large will benefit from the enhanced collaboration and expanded participation opportunities facilitated by GNA,” said Tony Fragnito, current President and CEO of INDA.
Murat Dogru, General Manager of EDANA and incoming GNA CEO, added, “The creation of the new Executive Director role at INDA marks a key milestone in the evolution of the Global Nonwovens Alliance. This position will strengthen our value proposition for members in the Americas, ensuring a strong regional focus while fully aligning with GNA’s global strategy. I look forward to working with the future INDA Executive Director as we continue uniting global vision with regional strength. My gratitude goes to Tony Fragnito for his leadership and continued support during this transition.”
Qualified candidates will be presented to INDA’s Executive Committee, with the target start date set for early 2026.
