INDA Appoints Kevin Conroy as Senior Manager of Government Affairs

INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, has appointed policy expert Kevin Conroy to its government and regulatory affairs team, naming him Senior Manager of Government and Regulatory Affairs.
Conroy joins INDA with a wealth of experience in public service and politics. Most recently, he served on the staff of former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, holding senior positions including Director, Chief of Staff, and Assistant Secretary of Agriculture for the state.
INDA President Tony Fragnito welcomed Conroy's appointment, emphasizing that his extensive government and regulatory background will amplify INDA's advocacy efforts at both state and federal levels, enabling more proactive representation for the nonwovens sector.
Conroy began his career on Capitol Hill, working in the offices of Congressmen Chris Shays and David Dreier, as well as with the House Rules Committee. He has also managed numerous political campaigns at both the state and federal levels, building coalitions and executing effective strategies in competitive races.
Echoing Fragnito’s enthusiasm, Wes Fisher, INDA’s Director of Government Affairs, noted that Conroy’s expertise will help the association swiftly address critical issues such as EPA rulemaking, PFAS and chemical regulation, and plastics policy.
With experience spanning legislative, executive, and electoral realms, Conroy brings a strong understanding of public policy, intergovernmental relations, and political strategy to his role. He will operate from the Washington, D.C. area on the INDA team.
