INDA and AFS Unveil 2026 Advances in Filtration Technical Conference Program

Filtration experts will explore PFAS, AI data centers, advanced filter media, sustainability and emerging technologies at FiltXPO™ 2026

INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, and the American Filtration and Separations Society (AFS) have announced the program for the 2026 Advances in Filtration Technical Conference. The conference is scheduled for October 28–29, 2026, during FiltXPO™ 2026 at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The technical conference will bring together filtration professionals, technology developers, researchers and industry leaders to discuss developments influencing the future of filtration. Topics will cover advanced filter media, PFAS removal, artificial intelligence, data centers, sustainability, market conditions and emerging applications.

Key Conference Sessions

Filtering the Forecast: Markets, Tariffs & What’s Ahead
This session will examine market, trade and economic factors influencing filtration, including supply and demand for nonwoven filter media, tariffs, supply-chain challenges, strategic sourcing and future growth opportunities.

Air Apparent: The Next Generation of Filter Media
The session will focus on developments in synthetic and nanofiber filtration media aimed at improving efficiency, lowering energy consumption, supporting sustainability and expanding filter functionality, including approaches to allergen control.

PFAS: Filter It Out, Design It Out
Experts will discuss technologies for PFAS removal from water, advances in contaminant reduction and the development of high-performance PFAS-free filtration media while maintaining key performance characteristics.

Feeding the Machine: Filtration, Cooling & AI Data Centers
This session will explore filtration, water treatment, cooling technologies, predictive modelling and AI-enabled strategies being used to address the energy, thermal, water and environmental demands of data centers.

Smart Air: Better Filters, Better Outcomes
The session will examine developments in air filtration, including research into the potential cognitive benefits of HEPA filtration and next-generation nanofiber media for HVAC applications.

Changing Gears: Next-Generation Filtration for a Changing Market
Speakers will examine filtration technologies designed to address changing sustainability and performance requirements, including lower-carbon fuel filter media and advanced molecular filtration solutions for cabin air and emerging fuel-cell applications.

The program will feature presentations from industry companies and research institutions, including AAF International, Ahlstrom, Cartwright Consulting Co., LLC, Devan Chemicals, Fusion Filtration Corporation, Gessner – a Mativ Brand, HIFYBER, Math2Market GmbH, Matregenix, NFT Purification Technology Inc., The Nonwovens Institute at NC State University, the University of Connecticut’s Public Health Sciences Department, and WCC (Water Control Corporation).

Experts from INDA and AFS will also contribute to the conference program.
