INDA 2026 Supply Report Examines Growth Trends in Nonwovens

INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry has released its 13th annual North American Nonwovens Supply Report, presenting an overview of industry performance and key developments. The report outlines the impact of global trade conditions alongside ongoing structural changes within the sector.
It highlights a market environment influenced by uncertainty, while also pointing to continued adaptation by industry participants.
Production output declined again in 2025, reflecting a cautious approach across the sector as companies responded to evolving market conditions. Despite this, the report notes a stable outlook supported by moderated production levels and ongoing adjustments within the industry.
Sustainability and environmental considerations remain central to industry strategies. Companies continue to prioritize these areas through investments and product development aligned with long-term objectives.
The report is based on detailed research, including producer surveys and interviews with industry participants. It covers a broad range of segments, including composites, roll goods, and finished products, and provides data on capacity, production levels, operating rates, and regional trade across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Tony Fragnito, INDA President and CEO, said: “As part of INDA’s role as the industry’s trusted data source, this report delivers valuable insights for benchmarking, strategic planning, and decision-making. This year’s findings highlight a resilient industry that continues to expand capacity through ongoing investments across all regions and sectors. Data from the report also contributes to INDA’s Global Nonwoven Markets Demand Report, which is published biennially, with the most recent edition released in November 2024.
