Visakhapatnam Airport has made room for 18 special aircraft to land over the next two days, bringing national and international delegates to the two-day Global Investors Summit on March 3 and 4. Three helipads have been prepared on the grounds of the Andhra University Engineering College, the summit’s venue, to transport delegates from the airport.

Delegates would be escorted from their hotels to the venue by nodal officials. Approximately 750 hotel rooms have been reserved at the official level, with participants booking an additional 1,000 rooms on their own. The two-day event is expected to draw 5,000 delegates, including teams from other countries.

The district administration has made extensive preparations for the summit. Central Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal, among others, would stay at the venue. This exclusive hall has been heavily guarded. Delegate registration began on Wednesday at the venue’s 12 special counters.According to an industry source, the venue can accommodate 4,000 delegates for lunch in a large hall specially built for the occasion.

The state would unveil an AP Pavilion with 137 specially designed stalls to showcase its activities and products. Start-ups, country arena, renewable energy, textiles, handlooms, tourism, automobiles, IT and Electronics, pharmacy, health, logistics, fertilisers, and food are among the items on display at these stalls.

Dr. A. Mallikarjuna, the district collector, stated that around Rs 100 crore was spent on beautifying the city and that all work would be completed by the end of the year. by Thursday evening. “A dry run from the airport to the venue will be conducted in conjunction with police and fire personnel.
