RoDTEP Scheme Benefits Extended;18 Textile Products Benefitted

In order to increase shipments of these goods, the government has expanded the export incentives under the RoDTEP plan to 18 textile-related products, including saari and lungis.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) announced in a notification that benefits under the duty refund programme, Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP), will be provided to shipments made beginning March 23.

Under the RoDTEP, exporters will get refunds for a variety of central and state tariffs, taxes, and levies levied on input products, among other things.

It stated that starting on March 28, 2023, “18 tariff lines are being added under RoDTEP for exports made.”
