American Textile Company (ATC), a mattress manufacturer with its headquarters in Pittsburgh, is cooperating with the Swiss company HeiQ to develop a selection of sleeping goods featuring HeiQ Allergen Tech for the North American market.

In the United States, Canada, and Mexico, the collaboration covers mattress and pillow protectors, pillows, mattress pads, comforters, and other categories of bedding goods. In 2024, the first items will be on sale using ATC’s CleanBoost technology under the most popular AllerEase and Sealy brands.

HeiQ Allergen Tech, which will be available at the end of 2022, is a wholly bio-based, organically derived technology that, with the help of probiotics in active form, reduces exposure to inanimate allergens including pet and home dust mite matter. It offers one of the simplest and most cheap options to reduce allergen exposure in bedrooms.

The technology was thoroughly examined by the British Allergy Foundation, who gave it the Allergy UK Seal of Approval. In addition, BMA Labor, an accredited lab in Bochum, Germany, has demonstrated that it effectively removes 96.6% of house dust mite matter allergy, 83.6% of cat hair allergen, and 76.5% of dog hair allergen.

The new AllerEase CleanBoost solutions from American Textile Company will be the first to ever offer dual-action protection against allergens, according to Patrick Seiffert, SVP of product development and marketing at the firm.

By merging their expertise in allergy barrier bedding with HeiQ’s innovative allergen-reduction technology, they are excited to create a solution that not only blocks inert allergens but also decreases them on and surrounding the mattress. to reduce allergen exposure in bedrooms.
