Pakistan’s Textile Exports drop by 19%

Data from the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association shows that, from 1.74 billion in November 2021 to 1.74 billion in November 2022, exports of Pakistan’s textile group fell by 19% YoY. (APTMA). $1.41 billion to USD (provisional).

In the first five months of the fiscal year 2022-2023 (FY23), exports reached $7.44 billion, a 4 percent decrease from $7.76 billion during the same time last year. From $1.357 billion in October to $1.4 billion in November, apparel exports increased by 3.3 percent month over month.

November marked the second month in a row that the nation’s textile exports fell. Additionally, in October 2022, the textile group’s exports decreased by 15.23% year over year (YoY).

The APTMA reported that after slightly increasing year over year in July, textile exports increased by 8% and 9% in August and September, respectively.
